Hey Pete,

I had a look around the yard at work today and found a 2m piece of that 100x40 beam that you need for your retaining wall. If you need some let me know and i'll drop it around.

well ive pulled my car apart lol got the rocker covers off and all and gonna go start cleaning it all up ready to paint. found out something interesting however, the airbox that is attached to the bit that goes into the throttle body, was melted underneath!!!! it had been touching my extractors :D explains quite a bit on why she is always either running rich or leaning out ....gonna try and get a nice shiny pipe to replace the black box and tidy up my engine bay a bit :domokun::blink:

Just be careful, that black box is an air resinator. May have to get your tune adjusted once its gone and its one smooth pipe from the AFM to the throttle body

hey Cara have you started sourcing parts for your build? I have a set of brand new Tomei heavy duty valve springs to suit a Neo here for sale $350. Retail $700. Else I am going toput them Ebay and they will sell for more.

yeah very sad bud.....classic case of 'money can't buy happiness'.......although it helps :P , but there's more to life me thinks.

On the weekend i went and stayed at my sisters place in Truro to watch the 24 hour moto enduro. It was pretty good to watch and cos my sister work's for the one of the land owners i got to thrash my thumpster around one of the sections when the riders had been through :P

yeah it is awesome for 4x4 action, wish my sister would let me use one of hers. If i had one the farmer would let me use the land if i wanted, I can take my bike up there anytime he said. He only owns 6000 acres :P

well gonna have to have her re tuned cause i not sure how long that box has been melted for!!! :P

all that sort of stuff was in my quote from Chris Milton Engines for when i get it done,. but thanks heaps anyway :)

sorry thought id share this 1 out the car crushing

---------------------------

i used to be a stupid driver & grew up & i see the answer is simple, make the laws maniditory so no judge can let people off with lighter sentences its this simple, people know if they look sorry & have a good lawyer they will keep their license one way or another but with manitory enforcement theres no chance & they will know what the punishment is no matter what. also maybe the law needs to add ideas like sentencing people to the military to learn.

your still stupid its just now your a hypocrite as well. no wonder you live in the gheto. how about we enforce these rules you speak of and as you have just admitted to conducting in hooning activitys we'll crush your current car. clearly you are just as much a criminal as any other hoon. following your logic of "they dont learn" im sure your still hooning today.

n military wtf crack you smoke, obviously cheap elizabeth manufactured

China's roads are notoriously dangerous. Last year, nearly 73,500 people died in road accidents in China last year, or more than 200 fatalities per day, according to police statistics.

wow.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
