R33 Stolen!

Hey guys, a friend just phoned me up to tell me that a mate's R33 was stolen from the 6th level of Hornsby Westfield carpark this afternoon. It's a fresh import and unfortunately not insured. It's a 1996 series 2 black R33 with black and white rego plates: BCZ 52M. Can people please keep a lookout and chase it down or report it if they spot these scumbags.

Unfortunately not, my friend was in rather a hurry as he was on his way to Phillip Island, just said it's a fresh import which isn't really enough to go on.

hope he finds it. you never know. Lingeringsoul found his car a week later with only small (but expensive!) damages.

I agree with you Liz, I think it was only just received from Japan and he hadn't insured it yet, deeply unlucky, although I insured mine by phone when I picked mine up.

Yeh it's not good but sadly a lot of cars get knocked off from that carpark

I know you know this but using the excuse "i just got the car" as a reason why it isn't insured is a joke. Insurance is free until you get the bill so why anyone would risk it is a joke.

ouch I insured mine the minute I knew what day it would arrive in Sydney.. all over the phone, no hassles!

Will keep a look out! seems alot of stolen cars these days are uninsured...

Couldn't agree more Sewid, as I said I insured mine when I drove and bought the car, this is a good friend's mate that lost his car.

Like said before "I just got the car" is no excuse. What happens if you run into the back of a Ferrari on the way home from the seller?

You should have insurance from the day you pick up the car.

that sux, i've parked there a few times too.

couldn't agree more with liz tho re: insurance. when i got my r33 insurance was sorted b4 i drove it home, put it in a lock up garage w/padlock and the alarm/immobiliser was installed the next day.

I agree. it should be your number one priority to get that cover note.

anyway.. gl finding it! I've had uninsured cars before (silvia) and was lucky enough to come out ontop.. but i won't be risking it again... EVER
