lingeringsoul
I'd love to see some results and feedback on these.....but chances are no one's going to brave enough to slap these junk on their pride and joy, so we probably won't be seeing any results any time soon. Is anyone here brave enough? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/189552-ne1-using-a-el-cheapo-ebay-special-turbo/#findComment-3415350 Share on other sites

stolen_s15
Fingertight Performance and Cabletie Racing both use these turbos on all of their customers cars, as far as I know they have never had a problem. LBR33
Any workshop that uses ebay chinese t04e's on customer cars is dodgy I cannot stress enough how many shortcuts are taken to make them (low grade metals, poor balancing) http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110947 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/189552-ne1-using-a-el-cheapo-ebay-special-turbo/#findComment-3416029 Share on other sites
skiwhine
i PM'ed a guy on ebay about 1 of the afore mentioned turbos his response: hey there yeah its a good quality t3 turbo it didnt bolt straight on to my r32 skyline i have to get a dump pipe with an external waste gate flange.ive taken the turbo to workshops who specialise in turbos they said it will have twice the power as my standard turbo an i will be able to run 25 pound boost.cant wait to give it a thrash lol. stolen_s15
Just to be sure, I hope no one is taking my above comment seriously. As LBR33 stated STAY AWAY FROM THESE TURBOS! They are poorly made, and will almost surely damage something in your engine. swanny180
So what you're getting at with those pics is... The turbo can highflow itself, even faster than what a workshop could do it? ...Ill take 3!! The Mafia
i know a guy that tried one...it was cheap, but the rebuild wasn't I'm sure a lesson was learnt I would never risk my internals with crap turbos like these Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/189552-ne1-using-a-el-cheapo-ebay-special-turbo/#findComment-3426768 Share on other sites
esky_mad
i brought one of these, i did a little bit of research before i did, i thought nah ill be alright. then before actually fitting it i did heaps of web searching and about 80% said stay the f**k away. so i sold it and brought a garrett. if you cant afford a good quality turbo(my 3040 was 2nd hand so i got it a lil cheaper anyway) just keep it stock or go hi-flow unless you want to be stuck with no car until you can get all the scrapnel out and afford a rebuild. rev210
cause really good turbos are the cheap ones... A turbo failure can root up your engine as well. Still want to take the risk?
