That could be an idea... we could do a run of 100 and get a few sponsors to chip in maybe?

I think keep the slogan pretty simple... don't want to go and confuse me... doh... I mean people. Remember that we want everyone that is not involved with Team Track Day to know who we are and what we are about.

my $0.02

Well seeing as though ill be joining soon I thought I might have my say... The bottom one got my vote but the top one would be good aswell.

The bottom one won because we can memorize the different tracks when we are looking at ourselves in the mirror!!! Or am I the only one that looks at myself in the mirror????

The more I think about it, the "tackier" the slogan idea sounds...

It is very rare to come across a slogan where you think: "Wow... that's really clever"... Most you read and go "Damn, some people just shouldn't be in marketing", and then proceed to make fun of the slogan and bastardise it. Judging from the locked thread, I can think of a few people that would jump at the chance.

I voted for the last option, but propose to change it from:

"Skylines Australia - Team Trackday - Then a outline of a few tracks"

to:

Front right breast

"[sAU LOGO]

Team Trackday"

Back of shirt

and the outlines of EC, Oran and Wakefield.

As per above, perhaps something like this?

Instead of "SKYLINES AUSTRALIA", we could have the SAU logo, with R34 tail lights either side of the "SKYLINES AUSTRALIA"

I think it is a little too early in the life of the SAU NSW Club for Team Track Day T-Shirts. Although a great idea - How about we get SAU NSW shirts first ?

Some people may feel that the TTD T-Shirts are precluding them from being part of the club. And that they might 'have' to go to a track day to be invloved in the club.

Hopefully, the SAU NSW club is more that just trackdays (but boy they are fun).

That said, if someone is ready, willing and able to get the TTD shirts ready and no-one can do the SAU NSW shirts, then go for it - I'll have one.

My 0.02c only .

PS - That other thread was so funny - Glad you folks sorted it as you are both fantastic contributors to SAU - Unlike some others who ruin it for some of us.

Sorry B-man... Can I offer you a beer and we can call it water over the bridge? :P

Sorry but I don't agree that shirt is good... it just won't do... Merli, mate you have really just gone out and done it now...

IT IS NOT LONG SLEVE!!!! :bahaha: :uh-huh: :bahaha: :uh-huh:

Sorry, I'm sure that carlo had that one covered... I just felt like beening a dumb arse!

I think that it is a great idea to have the tracks on the back (here is 20c pete)... I was a bit sceptical at first... but good idea from pete... make it with all the aus track on it if possible, not only does it give us a check list... but it also gives it scope to be available to all the clubs when they finally get up and running. (off shoot of B-mans comment) Good design Merli... I like the SAU logo with lights and Team Track Day under.

Carlo, How hard is it to have these made up for "Team Drag" and possibly "The Cruise Crew"? I know that the drag guys might need to come up with a different back... and it could be difficult for the cruise guys to put all the different cruise routes on there...

Hey Dan

I am going to try and get to the printers soonish and ask them pricing on shirts and see if they have a long sleeve option. Will get back to you all.

The design will be like what merli has above. With maybe four tracks on the back.

say

Eastern Creek

Oran Park

Bathurst

Wakefield

Dan.. I doubt it will be to hard to make these up in other designs.

Perhaps we could get boob tubes made for "Team Drag".. (BOoom Tiiishh)

The reason I made those tracks small on the back, is because I thought the same as Dan, in that we should put all the Australian circuits on the back, as not to exclude members from other states from purchasing a shirt.

Otherwise, if we just had those three tracks, and had them larger, doing top to bottom, that would look okay too.

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
