hi all

im new to this forum. bought a v35 coupe about two months ago after totalling my rex. i bought sone lenso D1r's last week with folling specs - 18 inch 9 +15 and 10 +22. havent bought any tyres yet. was wondering what will be the best tyre size for my wheels which doesnt require too much work ie; guard roll, camber ect. im on stock suspension at the moment and plan to drop the car abut an 1 - 1.5 inches

thanks

Hey mate welcome,

You won't need to roll guards with 18'' wheels unless your insanely low and have meaty as f*ck tyres. Not sure on tyre specs for that size rim, if it were 20's i could help. Make sure you at least buy a rear camber kit when you lower your car, unless your going to chew through tyres like mad even with an allignment. But yes as Tony says i'm pretty sure there's a dedicated wheel/tyre specs thread on here somewhere, use the search function mate.

Hi All

I am Jazzie from Perth, WA. I purchased myself a 2007 Nissan Skyline 370GT in July 2012.

I bought it as a work car and absolutely love it. I also have a 2003 Subaru Libery B4. Needless to say I am in love with my mechanical babies.

Here's some pics..

Eventually I need to fix up a couple things with the Skyline. Eg thrust bearing and paint work/rims where damaged from previous owner.

If you wanna know more or have any advice feel free to PM me or reply here!

Thanks

Jaz

Welcome jazzie, I saw your car about 3 weeks ago when I was in Perth. Down in freemantle near little creatures. I pointed it out to my gf and said 'what do you reckon, should I upgrade to the newer shape?' To which she said 'looks exactly the same as the one you have got' - *facepalm*

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.

    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
