:wizard:

Met SLO32 at the bwcp on sat night then watched him take out the title at autosalon for biggest rwpowah

Good on ya

Bad luck about the gearbox man but it was off its tits

Find your way home Afro and Firefrog? :)

EDIT: Since I cant read a thread...........

Saw white 33 in traffic along old gympie rd, outbound friday night, gave a wave and he waved back, then followed a soarer for a while and took my normal exit, when the white 33 flashed me and took the exit as well.

After introductions took a look at his awesome SOCH Carby RB20  was sooo cute, and the brakes were tiny, again all very interesting, oh and showed off my SAU jacket, which never leaves my back :D and then went on our merry ways.

Good to see a new forum member brave enough to flag someone down for a chat! :)

Spotted Ska (black 33) driving through Brisbane tonight. Followed him for a bit, then he pulled up beside me in traffic and gave me a wave so I was following him up towards the sunshine coast, trying to keep up with him and this soarer. Followed him off the road and flashed him to pull over. Great way to get to know a member, didn't have a clue who he was, noticed the SAU sticker though so thought he wouldn't mind a chat.

I think he was pretty impressed with my SOHC RB20 ;)

After seeing the SAU jacket in the flesh I think i'll join just for it!

Saw a red (I think..it was dark) 33 a few days ago in crestmead too, plates PSI 15.

Ooooooook I looked, as usuall not that hard but I did look.

Meh I'm over it, time to bash me again with the "How to use the search function!" Ado :) or "How to read a thread!" :(

ya sure did,,, now just waiting for the snapshot of my car to come through the mail :P

lolll

Just a friendly heads up on the way things are here.

ROFL!! It's true, it's sad but it's soooo true....

Last night in valley saw R33 "6IRLY" parked in valley last night, GTSt with GTR kit, eyelids, lotsa stickers, chameleon paint. Is it just me or is it hellishly brave to park a skyline in the valley on a friday night all night?! I wouldn't be able to relax if I knew my car was out there....

That one is there EVERY friday night, I see it all the time, and often wonder the same thing :(

Spotted this slow looking green r33, plates 57und, had this really ugly looking guy driving it, probably because it was way to early in the morning to be driving on the gateway, at least we were going against the flow of traffic :) jk James :)

I am still loving the look of your rims on it, looks really nice now :P

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
