Anyone here from Mackay, just bought me a r33 4 door skyline and have noticed how many skylines are driving around this town.....i suppose its better then seeing all the cashed up miner clubsports :O . Just got a stock dark grey r33 first owner since it was imported last year...give us a wave if ya see me around.

Spotted silver R34 GT-T ***KVK driving through Inala/Acacia Ridge, trying to get me to race a non-turbo, auto supra lol.

Also spotted a silver 4 door 34 turning into Acacia St from Compton Rd.

Me and next door have had a chat about the skylines we seen around hehe ^^

We both live at Algester and our cars are basically identical hehe... sometimes we park out the front on the road together lol, looks pretty cool haha :D

My dad lives at acacia-ridge so I tend to drive down there a bit.

My fiance also lives at forest lake so I drive around south side brisbane a fair bit.

I drive a white r33 NA - Random plates 371 KXO. I have a modified TRIAL front. You can tell its me because I got like... 15"s on haha :D

Every time I see a skyline I always have to let them know I am looking / wave / smile whatever friendly gestures there are :)

btw... saw a neat black 34 at KFC at inala the other day. Was sitting in drive through as they drove past. The passenger knew I was looking :D

I spotted 4 R34s on my way home today (I need a new car! They are getting too common lol :))

The last two I spotted were driving next to each other on Learoyd Road heading towards Beaudesert road.

There is also another white R34 identical to mine (until I got my wheels) in Algester also (where I live) and it must have been bought/registered around the same time as me as the numberplate is also very very similar (KR something I think as I am KRR).

I havn't really seen very mant 34's in Algester. I'm near to the petrol station across from the post office on Algester rd.

i see heaps of vr's and vk's "beating me when im doing 60 down a local street and giving each other high 5's to celebrate there huge victory over me!

Haha, laughed in real life then. I get that as well... Get off the lights and change at about 3.5 almost 4k revs (just to put up the exhaust a little) and LOL they always take the bait and gun it, thinking they now own a superior $2,000 car whos windows probably won't even wind up.

saw a few tonite in moloolabah grey\black 33's was 3 or 4 and a white r34 and 1 33 4 door... was in my mates como skidders on rear... cuz holden decided to f the rear camber and chew the tyers out new 285's from holden says ty

I live a few streets off of that street (Ridgewood Rd i think its called). Moreso off the street that runs up the hill to beaudesert road. I might have seen a white 33 around that area parked at some stage I think

Haha, yeh thats the street.

I used to always see a white r33 parked next to a modded BWM just up algester road (About 1 minute drive past the petrol station going up the road).

I havn't seen it in a while actaully...

I was giving my 33 a wax about 1-2 weeks ago and some fellas in a black 33 gave me a beep *waves* if you are reading this

spotted a few recently in noosa...amazing that the one day depearmnet of transport is set up in noosa defecting us all that everyone is out.

saw my mates red 32...still cant get over how hot that car is....then of course a r33 4 door had to pull up next to it...

:( was the nicest skyline i think i have ever seen to date....cheers for the info on the body kits too, only seen your car once before driving past. was great to get a close look at her... dam she was nice...makes me want to do up my 4 door instead of getting a coupe project car.

Hahaha yeah i know! The 34's seem to be breeding like rabbits!

The 2x 34's cruising on Learroyd Rd heading up to Beaudesert Rd - would have been me (white 4dr), and the silver coupe that i spotted and was cruising alongside of until they turned left at Beaudesert and i went right.

I've been driving the bf's VT SS to work lately, and so yesterday was the first time in ages that i'd taken my 34.

ok...4 door skylines in noosa are now officially out of control...

Spotted. Noosa civic yesterday a white 4 door 33 with black bonnet, stock rims...the body kit on that is phat ill give you that.

Green 4 door with tri rims i think and a black bonnet. saw it in underground car park near hastings i think. a day or two ago

maroon 4 door...never seen it before and only caught a glimpse. round eeinie creek.

and then my 33 4 door on my drive way  looking nice and clean hehe

add that to the pruple 4 door i spotted on the weekend and thats a hell of a lot of 4 doors in such a small town..

Boosted and Dan, what do yours look like?

I'll keep and eye out and a bucket of rocks ready to launch your ways

You can't miss mine... I got a pretty big soft toy shark hanging from my rear vision mirror

<--- the pic to the left is my car parked on ridgewood road next to my neighbours 33

    • You won't need to do that if your happy to learn to tune it yourself. You 100% do not need to do that. It is not part of the learning process. It's not like driving on track and 'finding the limit by stepping over the limit'. You should not ever accidently blow up an engine and you should have setup the ECU's engine protection to save you from yourself while you are learning anyway. Plenty of us have tuned their own cars, myself included. We still come here for advice/guidance/new ideas etc.  What have you been doing so far to learn how to tune?
    • Put the ECU's MAP line in your mouth. Blow as hard as you can. You should be able to see about 10 kPa, maybe 15 kPa positive pressure. Suck on it. You should be able to generate a decent vacuum to about the same level also. Note that this is only ~2 psi either way. If the MAP is reading -5 psi all the time, ignition on, engine running or not, driving around or not, then it is severely f**ked. Also, you SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IT WITHOUT A LOAD REFERENCE. You will break the engine. Badly.
    • Could be correct. Meter might be that far out. Compare against a known 5 ohm 1% resistor.
    • @Murray_Calavera  If I were an expert I wouldn't be in here looking for assistance.  I am extremely computer literate, have above average understanding on how things should be working and how they should tie together.  If I need to go to a professional tuner so be it, but I'd much rather learn and do things myself even if it means looking for some guidance along the way and blowing up a few engines. @GTSBoy  I was hoping it would be as simple as a large vacuum leak somewhere but I'm unable to find anything, all lines seem to be well capped or going where they need to be, and when removed there is vacuum felt on the tube.  It would be odd for the Haltech built in MAP to be faulty, the GTT tune I imported had it enabled from the start, I incorrectly assumed it was reading a signal from the stock MAP, but that doesn't exist.  After running a vacuum hose to the ECU the signal doesn't change more than 0.2 in either direction.   I'll probably upload a video of my settings tomorrow, as it stands I'm able to daily drive, but getting stuttering when giving it gas from idle, so pulling away from lights is a slow process of revving it up and feathering the clutch until its moving, then it will accelerate fine.  It sounds like I need to get to the bottom of the manifold pressure issue, but the ignition timing section is most intimidating to me and will probably let a pro do that part.  Tomorrow I'll try a different vacuum line to T off of, with any luck I selected one that was already bypassed during the DBW swap.  (edit: I went out and did it right now, the line I had chosen did appear to have no vacuum on it, it used to go to the front of the intake, I've now completely blocked that one off at the bracket that holds several vacuum lines by the firewall.  I T'd into the vacuum line that goes from that bracket to the vacuum pump at the front of the car, but no change in the MAP readings).  Using the new vacuum line that has obvious vacuum on the hose, im still only getting readings between -6.0 and -5.2.  I'm wondering why the ECU was detecting -5.3 when nothing was connected to the MAP nipple and ECU MAP selected as the source. @feartherb26  I do have +T in the works but wanted to wait until Spring to start with that swap since this is my good winter AWD vehicle.  When removing the butterfly, did it leave a bunch of holes in the manifold that you needed to plug?  I thought about removing it but assumed it would be a mess.   I notice no difference when capping the vacuum line to it or letting it do its thing.  This whole thing has convinced me to just get a forward facing manifold when the time comes though.
    • Update: tested my spark plugs that are supposed to be 5ohms with a 10% deviation and one gave me a 0 ohms reading and the rest were 3.9ohm<, so one bad and the others on their way out.
