So I Bought A Copy Of This Month's Unique Cars...

Recommended Posts

...and I was interested to see how Unique Cars presented it's "Club of the Month" section as I'm now doing advertising for the WRX Club and I want to make a submission to them to consider... and wasn't I pleasantly surprised when I started flipping through this issue! (Oct 31-Nov27)!!

Reading through the index page, firstly I saw there was a great write-up on the 1994 Subaru WRX Rallye edition (yeah, its spelt right!) - featuring one of our WRX club members Daniel Boyle. I went straight away to page 126 - what an excellent read it was. I'd knew that he had offered to help out Unique Cars with the article but I had no idea it was going to be in this issue. Very pleasant surprise indeed.

As i'm flicking back and forth through the pages, I turn to page 70 and guess who's golden locks and unmistakable smile bring a smile to my own face - that's right, our very own MissJuz and the article about Juz & Brisby's adventures at Dutton 07!

It was a great read, very well written and had some great photos! Unforunatly I wasn't available to come and check it in person this year (i made scruteneering but thats it) due to work so it was nice to see an article that put together all the stories I'd heard from the SAU crew.

It's weird reading about people in a major magazine when you go "hey I know them" :D

Well done to all that competed in Dutton and congratulations for making it back in one piece!

Justine, you'll be hearing from me shortly as I really want to promote the WRX club a bit more in mainstream media :)

B-man out.

Thanks Brenton, Send me an email with your details and I'll let you know what you need to submit for club of the month! Email: [email protected]

Also if you watch the Unique Cars DVD that came with the magazine you will also see another SAU Club Member showing the world his Drifting Skills in the Ford FPV Drift 6, Adam "Handbags" Newton!

Slowly but surely we shall take over this magazine so it's filled with people we know!! *rubs hands together*

    • The front prop shaft from my GTR had very notchy unis, which obviously needed replacement but unfortunately uses the (usually) non-replaceable (staked) type.     A new shaft is something like $2K plus shipping from Japan.   I wouldn't even bother asking the local Nissan spares dept.     Rang Hardy Spicer but no go, which surprised me a little.     There's a place over Dandenong way that would make me a 'performance' shaft but un-necessary in my situation.   They claimed to be getting the equipment in to replace staked unis but couldn't give me a timeframe.   Anyway, long story short, found a place to do the work just 5 mins from me: https://knoxdriveshafts.com.au $420 (cash) and about a week later I have my driveshaft back.   Price includes balancing. Owner is a one man band working out of a shed in his backyard but from what I could see he's very well setup with some expensive equipment.
    • Thanks. That's what I was after. One of the kits, the o-ring side is too big diameter. The other kit is a plate with a o-ring to seal and the hose connection offset.
    • oops that seems much easier lol.
    • Are you using the factory rail?  Is there any reason you don't want to use one of the two you already have, they don't have to attach to the fuel rail directly.  If you 100% must have a FPR that directly bolts to the fuel rail, you could get a Radium setup. I use a radium fuel rail and the direct mount regulator, it is quite a sexy setup.
