Weren't the first price figures a long time ago around the $300-400 mark, $200 isnt too bad,if you sit down and think how long this took to make. For the guys complaining just dont buy it, do you send emails to HKS telling them that there parts are expensive? Geez some people are complete wingers

Andy have the hidden diagnostic menus been translated as well?

Can you remind me how to get to the diagnostic screen. I remember seeing it when it was posted but I can recall the process to get to it to check.

Cheers

Andy

maybe we should have a list of those who bitch, dont get the conversion?

indeed! it was me that put it across the prestige m'sports mailing list. I have a bit to do with them and these cars

that said I hit up 8 RAWS here in brissy and they are all on board with the idea. did get one try to haggle me to nix and I politely said no way.

to those that think there's money in this - forget it - there's not!! in my case I'd make more on a diversity antenna lead :)

Hi Andy

Iam def still keen for the software please send me an msg when you have worked out the details

I'll do yours. I'm the QLD person anyway and I'm doing swap in swap out boxes as well. so if you are capable of pulling the DVD rom out and posting it to me I'll send you one back that has been swapped.

From what my rather vague understanding of the Japanese kanji translation FM would be a service (only available in Japan) that allows news-flash or information be displayed on screen, e.g. traffic information, road works, accidents, or perhaps even any general news/advertising.

Even if that screen is translated, it would be of little to no use for us (most likely to no use).

that is correct. its a traffic information service. no use here.

Anyone doing these conversions in NSW yet?

That is me John.

I will keep you all posted over the next couple of weeks. The release date will be shortly after the 6th December.

I will probably try to organize a central place on a weekend to help people with logistics.

So at this stage the confirmed installers are:

NSW: Andy (Andy65b)

QLD: Audio Express (Chris Rogers)

VIC: Rianto (RS73)

SA: TBA

WA: TBA

Won't be long now till this all kicks off.

Cheers

Andy

Andy have the hidden diagnostic menus been translated as well?

Leon, I checked this the diagnostic menu and it is now in English.

Thanks for reminding me about this as there was one selection that was no changed and I will get this fixed before the release.

Cheers

Andy

Great effort Andy and I think everyone with the exception of a couple would think this way!

Oh....Oh!!!! But I tell you what!!!!.....it took too long, it's too much and I don't like the way the menu's are laid out!!!! Can you go back and start again.....it should be for free and custom made to my spec's.

Like I said....great effort mate!

Ooppps I've done it again!!!!....sorry!!!

Yep,

Top row - 5th button and bottom row 1st button - hold them together for 5 seconds at any time.

And good on you for working so hard on this.

Hi Guys,

Firstly, HUGE thanks to Andy for sticking at this when I am sure I would have given up ages ago. I cant wait to get the conversion.

Secondly, with the above Diagnostics has anyone ever had this translated or does anyone know what diagnostics these are?

Cheers

Lee

I'd just be guessing what alot of it means, but have a look and some of it is interesting. I am curious though to find out if my hunches are right. I figure one of the trim controls is for gyro sensitivity, but the other one, i'm not sure - something to do with the volume/road speed maybe? I have an inkling the greyed out menu is for an undeveloped language menu too.

Sorry to dissapoint but FAIL... LOL

Well maybe an undeveloped language.........it is the newest Language around........ It is a PHONE option.

I have seen it on one other car.

I will try to give you an idea about it later when I have time to sit down a read all the menu's.

Sorry...... this is a really busy week for me. (actually most are)

Cheers

Andy

andy,

For WA/SAI'm doing a swap in swap out arrangement. spoke to a few people today that are NOT on here and they are happy to yank the box and send it to me.

About that. Can we still drive our cars around with out the com?

Or are you sending a replacement one and we send you ours when we get it?

I found some interesting things in this Diagnostics menu tonight.

There are adjustments for Speed correction and GPS gyro, Left and right.

I am yet to see what effect they have but it looks promising.

    • I personally would go with cutting out the rubber. Then deal with getting sleeve off separately. Rubber can be painful to cut, it loves to jam up cutting tools. I normally have success with drill bits, deburr bits, angle grinders, jigsaw, reciprocating saw, and never forget... fire. Obviously different tools won't work in all locations you're trying to work with, and you need to be comfortable with each. You personally may be happy slowly slicing it out with a razor blade, if you are, go for it with one too! Feel free to wait for others to weigh in also on their thoughts.
    • So ... I got everything disconnected and started dropping the frame. Three of the four mounts started to come down but the fourth one (the one with the nut that gave me all the trouble) won't budge. The inner metal sleeve stays up tight against the chassis rail although the outer part of the mount drops a bit (and can be levered quite a lot more) but it's just stretching the rubber bushing. So I reckon there's some serious corrosion inside the inner sleeve and holding it tight to the lug at the top of the bolt. Tried everything I can think of so far: penetrating oil, whacking the top of the sleeve to vibrate it and wedge a screwdriver blade in there. I also tried to turn the inner sleeve a bit by hitting it with a chisel at the bottom. It's stuck solid. What do you think about cutting the rubber with a blade so I can drop the subframe around it anyway. Then worry about getting the inner sleeve off after? Will that work? Is it gonna give me even more problems?
    • Steam valve seals are usually responsible for cold start smoke, it goes away once engine warmed up. Disconnect it let engine breathers and let it breath freely, see if problem goes away after a short drive. Also check to make sure engine oil drain pipe is not blocked or kinked.
    • Haha thanks! Yea I'm moving over from 2x 1000cc jets pre throttle over to 6x 190cc direct port jets and 1x 500cc pre throttle jet.  Direct port comes with all the advantages you would expect, except that pre throttle does cool down IAT'S more. That's why my direct port nozzle placement is closest to the plenum as possible in the runners to allow the air more time to cool before being sucked in. I'm also putting that one 500cc pre throttle jet to help with more cooling. It's a hybrid system. There's a lot more advantages to moving over to a PWM solenoid with a constant pressure system vs my old PWM pump setup, but I'll get more into that once I'm done converting everything over. The ricer in me is excited to see SS tubing all over my manifold though!
    • Very cool, see what I did there? 🥲 Wild WMI setup, first I've seen where it's on each cylinder runner, usually I see a single jet pre throttle.
