hello all

i have looked all over the place and am trying to find a translation for the coin box fuse panel in the cabin to suit my series2 rs4s (manual)

the only one i have been able to find is for an auto and even the layout of the panel is different.

so when i changed my fuel filter today after thinking i had pulled the correct fuse (15amp as per the auto layout) out to kill the fuel pump as well as all of the 15amp fuses in the box until the car "ran out of fuel" and stopped, and thereby empty and depressurise the fuel line i was unpleasantly surprised when i had a rail worth of fuel spew out at me at a fair velocity!!!

luckily i was sorta prepared for this to happen so i had already half kinked the line, as well as taking the hose on the side facing away from me off first.

if anybody could help me out for future reference it would be awesome.

i will try and dig around in the service manual cd that mike40 sent me once i can locate it, so in the mean time can anyone help me out?

cheers ogar.

not sure if this is manual or auto, if you send me a photo I can translate and tell you the fuse you are looking for. i would still think the auto and manual box would be same, even when your car stops after running it dry, you still have some pressure left in line, ive found that out before.

thats the same pic i had to go from and it didn work as the layout of the fuses in the panel is completely different in that the fuses are mounted horizontally and there is also a few more of them in there i think 24 from memory?

i will try and get a clear pic and post it up of both the panel itself and the rear of the coinbox for deciphering purposes.

cheers oxford

...and if someone is able to translate these, perhaps they can translate the navi controls too?

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
