I bought a car magazine with dvd coming with it. i saw this "twoogle" gt-r there for the first time. beautiful car.

all the best with the car. this car will always put smile on its owner's face :D

you have obviously viewed the DVD, im a smilely sort of fella...lol

not your average serious car hoon, this car is like family now and due to our new business opening it is needed for promotional purposes and no longer for sale.

someone missed out on a bargain as it cost almost double the asking price to get it to this level.

it will be back at the track soon sporting some serious power and driveline upgrades.

In the market for a mildly modified (close to standard) 32 gt-r at the moment.

One time i was at Borders and saw this magazine with dvd. Looked the back of it and saw an r32 gt-r. Ok I said to myself i'm gonna buy and go home and watch it. So there I was sitting on my sofa watching this gt-r. "Wow nice. Fast!" i said :D. About low mount turbos, i have no idea at all heheh :D. I'm kinda newbie to this. "What a lucky man to have this kind of car" i remember saying that again... and the fact that you built it from scratch with all the time and effort spent is even better. i can understand why it makes it feels like family.

Heheh and now i'm talking to you :(... So i can repeat myself again, and this time in front of this laptop to you:

"You are lucky mate" :).

hundreds - and maybe more - of us can only dream of having 32 gt-r like urs :).

Just wanna say Good luck with it. All the best with the new business too!

We are all waiting to hear from (and watch more DVDs of) an even more improved Twoogle in the future :)

thank you for your kind words...

Car has now been fitted with a full genuine HKS T51R SPL BB kit (modified with new 108mm front wheel as per the new HKS T62 turbo), PPG fully optioned straight cut dogbox (billet main shaft, idler shaft, input shaft and sandwich plate $12 000), brand new Nismo 2 way rear diff, fully rebuilt and modified transfer case and NPC twin plate race clutch, Vi-PEC ecu etc..

Should make 900+ AWHP and will be a high 8 second car once sorted.

A similar car just sold recently for $30 000 more and these cars have become almost twice as expensive to build due to the crashing aussie dollar.

Might be still for sale with the right money as a business deal has come up that i may have an option on.

PM me if you have a serious offer and cash ready. If not ill be racing it soon.

They dont realise how much money has to be spent on this car to be where it is.

They are getting an absolute bargain at $55,000. I was considering selling mine at $80,000. But looks like no one appreciates how much TIME and MONEY there has been spent on these sorts of cars.

Great car mate I think i might just sell mine in parts.

price reduction $55 000

The sale bug is contagous!

It sucks selling our cars for 50% of the build cost, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears that goes into them.

Such is life i suppose ;)

Shaun.

bit steep mate

you can import a r32 gtr these days for 15k

:D

Are you serious mate?

Im pretty sure this is the quickest low mount GTR in the world. A $15K import will need at least $10k spent on it just to get it up to scratch, and it'll still be a sh1tter. You clearly dont really know what youre talking about.

i think its a sh1t stir due to the smiley tongue out on the bottom...

$15K is about what the gearbox is worth...supplied, built and fitted (PPG straight cut fully optioned billet dogbox) :)

BTW its no longer a low mount car...New HKS T62/T51R SPL BB turbo kit fitted.

Oh yeah, i forgot about the single conversion Paul. Oops.

And yeah, agreed, the smiley face makes me look like an idiot doesnt it. Ill just go now............

but i know a mate, who knows a mate who can get me a skyline gearbox for $800....

ok, I will stop now.

absolutely love this car. 55k is an absolute steal. If only I was single again, and not paying off two morgages....

Shaun, watched the buildup of your car on here. Disgusts me that you are selling it for as little as you are, as I have spent 15k on top of purchase price on my r32 last year, and I would be ashamed to park it even in the same suburb as yours.

I will quit the random chat. Good luck with the sale.

the myth that i will let this car go for between 30-40K is just that...a myth.

if you don't have 50K+ to part with then unfortunately you will have to look elsewhere.

ive already knocked back a 45K offer.

thanks

    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
