I'll put this out there now: whomever may be so lucky to command ownership of Twoogle better look after her, or else I'll be comin' for ya! Twoogle is the only other GT-R I hold dear to my heart, so the new owner better love her at least as much as I do, LOL!(Do I sound like a stalker, or what???)

Have you got any current pics of the car?

Car has travelled about 50klms since it was on the cover of HPI (the last pic i put up) so it looks no different...under the hood is a little different.

The changes since the article are...

New HKS T51R SPL BB turbo kit (modified to new HKS T62 spec compressor rated at 1150hp) all ceramic coated with high temp black on turbine and manifold. Cerami-chrome on compressor cover.

New HKS GT-II 60mm external wastegate.

New Earls braided oil and water lines.

New CES 5 inch stainless dump pipe and wastegate pipe both coated in high temp black.

New PPG fully optioned billet straight cut dogbox.

New NPC race twin plate clutch with billet flywheel.

New Nismo 2 way rear diff.

New modified transfer case done by Award Diff and Gearbox.

New fully optioned Vi-PEC V88 ecu with 7 bar map sensor and plug-in adaptor.

Thats over $25000 dollars worth!!!

This is not some tired old clapped out racecar, its been maintained to a world class standard and has a fresh engine and driveline. It will have the potential to be an 8 second car when ran at the strip with over 900hp at the tyres when ran-in and tuned.

Due to the last deal on the car being a dead end its still available.

This car IS a bargain and i cannot believe ive still got it.

Does anyone have anywhere near asking price that is keen to put in a serious offer?

Start a business and lease the car for trackdays or something?

1k a day, wouldnt take too long to recover your investment.

Ide pay a grand to drive this for the day at a track, can you find 54 other people?

gee that brings back some memories...

car still on the market but full price still. (it will take that for me to part with it)

thats not such a bad idea really... i paid $500 for a half day rally school... in which i got to drive an 4ac powered ae86... twice, for 5 min, and an 02 sti.. twice, for 5 min... there were 15 other gits who did the exact same thing.. then there was another "class" coming through that afternoon... to do the same thing. 30 x 500 = $15000... in one day.

whether you are able to get races or not paul... you cannot sell this car.. you will regret it.. you have spent too much time and put in too much effort to sell it.. like you say, the recent additions alone have cost you $25000, so how long will it take you to have the money to buy the car off you.. so to speak? put it aside, put a car cover over it, forget its there until the bub grows up... the car is done now.. you dont have to spend anymore money on it... it will not cost you anything to keep it, whether its driven or not.. you'll never be able to get it back again, or build another like it (unless you really hate money)

cheers

Linton

Just the cost of the quality aftermarket parts alone would be worth more than the purchase price of the whole car, let alone the time and energy invested in putting everything together! If I only had more an extra garage space for this.....

Good luck with the sale!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
