ak_stylez
Thanks Kaz! Had a great time, a lot of really nice cars. And great to see no heroes doriing down the road lol. Like the other newbies, I didn't really get to meet many people, kinda hard to infiltrate Glad to finally be part of the team. Can't wait for the next cruise/track day and hopefully learning some new names Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/196829-sau-vic-2007-annual-show-n-shine-xmas-party-wrap-up-results/page/2/#findComment-3522988 Share on other sites
Ant97GTR
Was a great day and perfect weather for it! Good to catch up with everyone again and I must say the overall quality of cars in the club is getting better and better. Thanks to everyone who organized the day and chris for slaving behind the BBQ Also I think this would be the first SAU vic event on a sunny day that I didn't see Mav sunburnt by the end of it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/196829-sau-vic-2007-annual-show-n-shine-xmas-party-wrap-up-results/page/2/#findComment-3523041 Share on other sites

Leewah
Great event peeps! A really good turnout on a perfect day. Thanks to Chris and Min for bringing the BBQ and cooking up a storm and getting everyone fed in a timely manner. Thanks to everyone who came and displayed their cars. Some very very nice examples of Skylines out there. I'm sure Damian at FI got his fair share of work too Thanks to Poite for waxing my car even though it was hot out there. That wax really does make a huge difference! Voting will be tallied and awards will be presented at the general meeting on the 18th so make sure you come to collect! Swink33
Congratulations to the winners and thanks for a great day. As I work hospitality and study full time I don't get much of an opportunity to attend events such as this so it was great to be able to come down and see some very impressive machines. I took 2 photos which aren't that great but I will post them anyway. Does anyone have photos of the R34 GTR Nur Spec that arrived late in the day? Is it just me or does there seem to be an ever increasing number of them in Australia? GTR91
To be honest I was disapointed in the event. candy33 and myself came along a bit late in the day (at least made the effort) and walked around for half an hour and not one person came up to welcome us or even say hello. Dont know what the story is with that, thought the effort to come along would have been appriciated and meet some like minded people who love the Nissan Skyline. Made an effort and said hi to a few people who just said hi and kept walking .... If I'd turned up in a Ford Falcon - that would be understandable. scratches head .... Who did you talk to with the yellow vests on with the SAU logo? Did you introduce yourself to people as someone who wanted to join the club and find out more about it? Just because people don't talk to you, doesnt mean they mean to be rude or dislike you in anyway. I can be quiet before a few drinks but I don't think any less of people, just can be shy. From the pics, committee had the yellow vests on and would have helped you. Come along to a club meet at the Bells and identify yourself to a committee member and you will find it very different. As a tip, if you are with someone, you are less likely to be approached than if you are on your own.
