PS3 can output either to PAL or NTSC and nearly all TVs built in the last 10 years or so can accept both PAL and NTSC input anyway. should not be any problem.

none of it has any problem with playing online. the only person who can see what screen you have online is you. :)

Might have to make an excuse to go see my mate early... Think he is heading there for a few days after easter.... Might jump in his suitcase... :D

Prologue is out! it is out!

Bloke called me from EB's today and I picked it up!!

Gonna shoot to a mate's place now!!

im waiting to see if the j-spec one gets the updates or not!

you will be able to tune the cars, drift mode, plus an extra 60 or so cars (inc F40 and the Ferrari F1 :D)

I picked my copy up this arvo

I think its pretty damn good so far, 60 or so cars including the blitz 34 4door :D

The drifting is good, just a bit dissapointed that there is no clutch :D

I cant seem to get online or download the update for the game yet, but i guess thats because the game isnt meant to be out until tomorrow....

good news for all the people with the j-spec copies

Here is the updated text from English language version of JPN site.

http://www.gran-turismo.com/en/gt5p/news/d1985.html

“Gran Turismo 5 Prologue” will be undergoing a free online update to “Gran Turismo Prologue Spec II” at around noon on Friday, March 28.

The detailed content of the update will be announced on the day of the update, but there are some points of caution before performing the update. Please red before proceeding with the update.

(1) After updating, it will not be possible to replay the replay data created and saved before the update.

(2) Because the content of events will be renewed in the update, the event data before the update will be cleared, and those events will no longer be possible to play. (Acquired prize credits, cars in the garage, and clear information up to the A class will be carried over.)

(3) Even if an error occurs during the update, data downloaded up to the error is saved. Repeating the update will complete the download normally.

The update can be resumed as indicated below:

- Select News in My Page after starting the game

- Exit the game with the PS button, and restart the game.

* To update, you will need a Playstation 3 connected to the internet with a broadband connection, and "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue" (Either the Blu-ray disc version or downloaded version).

* All information listed in this website is for Japan. For information outside Japan, please refer to the website of your region.

    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
    • Scissor Jacks are an accident waiting to happen, the only time they should be used are in an roadside flat, even then a tyre and rim should be placed underneath
    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
