WITH REGARD TO YOUR HARD TO READ THEN DON`T . OPSM ARE OPEN TAKE YOUR MATE`S THEY BAULK BILL cheer`s chuckie

Chuckie thats a bit harsh..i agree with Mitchy on this one sorry! The amount of smilies you have and not to mention the Capitals that you continuously use makes it a pain in the butt to read your posts...obviously there is no need for capitals unless you are trying to point out that you are yelling what your saying...can you not just push the caps lock button and type like everyone else???? You have good points and most of us read what you type, but im guessing from the amount of 'tension' that seems to follow the posts something must be up! Also about your comment Brett and I have both been WA members since we joined and have only recently become Non-WA members..which i dont think will last long :(

Ok back onto this track day Brad are we allowed to come and watch only???? i havent done one of these and thought of coming down watching and taking some shots of the crew out there.

Wildcat, yes please do come down and have a look! Entry is free to spectate.

The reason it would be easier if people were members is because i could then run this as an official SAUWA event. By doing that, SAUWA would put forward the deposits etc giving you guys a longer time frame to be able to pay. But as i personally have covered this, payments are required rather quickly (before the wife finds out :() Also with SAUWA events, in the future they will be cheaper to members as the club will subsidise the event, drinks are supplied and events are sponsored so there is normally an award or something to be handed out at the end of the event. SAUWA have several events planned, such as dyno days, track days, go karting, even golf days or what ever the members suggest. If you are not likely to want to do any of these social events (which are normally open to members only) then yeah theres no point joining. But if you would like to become involved, then sign up and keep an eye on the Members Only Area :)

WELL HOW YANKED YOUR CHAIN YOU WAS JUST ASKING A SIMPLE WHAT , YOU ARE QUICK TO JUMP DUDE ,SO WHAT DOSE THAT MEAN WE HAVE TO COVER YOU COST FROM NOW ON BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR 3 YEAR`S & YOU CAN`T BE THAT TIGHT ???? DID YOU SAY YOU DON`T HAVE A SKYLINE SORRY :ban: I DIDN`T HAVE A WRX SO WHAT I STILL PAYED $70 FOR MEMBERSHIP.YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME ON TRACK DAY :) ????? IT`S ABOUT THE CLUB NOT YOU MITCHY IF EVERY BODY WANTED MORE THAN THEIR MONEY`S WORTH THAN THE CLUB WOULD BE BROKE :( ,TO CALL SO ONE AN ARSEHOLE BECAUSE HIS TYPING IS TO BIG TO MANY :laughing-smiley-014: YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR PLEASE DONT INSULT PEOPLE AS IT :) OFFEND`S ,CHEER`S CHUCKIE,

C'mon guys, getting a bit off topic here hey lol

Chuckie, Mitchy had a skyline a while back but it was written off (no fault of his own). When he had the skyline he was a member of SAUWA, but decided not to renew his membership now that he has a Magna wagon thingy (sorry Mitchy, couldnt help it :() and that is fine, thats his choice to do so. SAUWA is open to any one to join, we have a range of members with different cars from Skylines, Silvia's, Stagea's and even a Hyundai driver. Most people sign up for the Members only events, and the discounts that certain companies around town offer to club members.

i think the problem here is that some people dont get other peoples so called sense of humour or even rudeness, tension arises and then we have these disputes/comments...how about we just all grow up and just focus on the track day that sounds like a ball of fun as well as a chance of having a social event, instead of whether people have enough money to afford a membership or why they choose not to have one, as really that is no ones business but their own

I will be attending and taking some snap shots :)

Seconded (and thirded and fourthed)

Hey Kirstie - how come you aren't going to be driving? Too scared you are going to show Brett up? It will be good to catch up with you guys again regardless.

Kirstie you better be driving your car. There has to be another girl showing the boys how its done :D

Brad, I didn't realise it had to be paid for so soon. Was this mentioned somewhere previous before deciding on a date?

Reason I ask is due to the circumstances of many of us not being members, we could of paid the money to you and once all competitors had paid, then go ahead and book...

WELL HOW YANKED YOUR CHAIN YOU WAS JUST ASKING A SIMPLE WHAT ,

YEAH CHUCKIE... KNOCK OFF THE SMILIES...EH! :D:huh: OTHER WIZE WE'LLHAVE TO SEND :mrt: AROUND TO SORT YOU OUT (AND PRESS YOUR CAPS LOCK).

Actually this forum has ALL of the elements of a "Normal" car club...... bitchin, backstabbin, people who fink that they and their car is better than everyone elses..... even though the ALL came out of the same mold.

Lets got this forum back on track... or should that be skidpan?

I am a definite maybe..........no I don't think that I know everything about my car.... but I am still not sure of the value in taking a heavy AWD car around a skidpan..... or are we doing the track?

I'm a little confused as to what this event is about..... a skidpan was mentioned..... a skid pan is for skidding isn't it?

A track is for going fast..... at least faster than you would on the road.

My initial interest was to able to find out the limits of the car, so that I could learn (more) about controlling it.... to be able to do that the car has to become "out of control" and this is where I have my doubts. It isn't because I don't enjoy "throwing a car around" .... I do, BUT the breakaway point of the Stagea (AWD) is so much higher than that of a RWD or FWD car. Therefore it has to be going faster, or tighter and therfore probably putting an incredible amount of force on everything..... if it were wet, I just think that this woudl have so much more value as THAT is where most people are more likely to run into trouble first.

So put me down as a probable...... AS FOR THE MONEY...(oops) :D I can see that being a member has merit..... but I have tried to pay at 2 events and not got anywhere!!??

Oh well, I guess that I'll have to PM Dan... :D

So can you (Brad) post up the adgenda... thanks :( OH boy Chuckie...... I had to edit your quote cause I had used more emoticons than allowed in my reply!!!!

Kylie, payments need to be done sop i can pay AHG. With out the confirmed payment, they wont hold the date. As for paying first, then picking a date, its been tried. You will find that you all pay your money today , and the next date is end april or may, then people back out as its too far away and things change alot for people over the time, if you know what i mean.

John, you have asked for an "agenda" Happy to do that, but what info are you chasing exactly?

As for getting your car out of control to learn how to control it. Ummm ????? If your out of control, have you not just proven that you need driver training....such as this event? :D (not having a dig etc, just putting out my thoughts)

So, being a card carrying member with the money burning a hole in mah pocket still doesn't get me a guaranteed spot?

*cries*

might as well go and eat worms. :)

so it looks like lotty wont be the only woman going.

G`DAY SEAN NO THEIR IS OTHER GIRL`S DRIVING.

I FIND IT A BIT STANGE THAT WHEN THIS WAS FRIST MENTIONED THAT MOST POEPLE WE`ER ALL UP OF IT :) ,ALL OF A SUDDEN IT`S GONE QUITE ?????????,WHY IS THIS SO :D .IF YOU DO NOT FILL THESE SPOT`S ,THEN IT WILL BE OPENED UP TO ALL  ,SO COME ON BOY`S & GIRL`S SIGN UP PLEASE PM BRAD,& LET`S FILL THIS WITH STAGEA`S ONLY :):bunny: .I WILL NOT BE DRIVING AS MY HEALTH IS NOT GOOD STUFFED BACK , BUT I WILL BE THEIR.THEIR SHOULD BE ENOUGH STAGEA`S IN TOWN TO FILL THIS,I CAN`T BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE NOT GOT MORE NUMBER`S.SO STIR UP THE CREW & FILL THIS UP .CHEER`S CHUCKIE

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
