Chook,

Vin WGNC34 106106

Model TGKNRXAC34UDA--AA-

I had a go in FAST and man I get lost... I had a similar screen to what you had but I couldn't do it a second time.

But I think there are 2 numbers to choose from 90896-0V300- or 90896-0V302- ... am I close?

Antony

Ill check when I get home from work later today, standby.

Here are some/all of the badges and stickers for the S1 and S2 Wgnc34's

62310+A please :-) This should be the RSFour badge for front grille on a Series 1

Arrrr stealth stagea.

Thanks heaps for this... after having a go myself a few times I am in awe of your skills :(

So from your pic the number I need for the side window is 83892-0V000- So I can go to Nissan with this number and they should know what I talking about?

...and I have the corresponding numbers for the others which I have but good to know.

I guess I could still get the 25tXfour badge... just need to work out which one... here seemed to be 2 numbers when I looked :)

you're right, seems to be 2 different 25tXfour badges, depending on paint colour, the 0V300 is for lighter colours, 0V302 for darker colours. No mention of your colour in this range, difficult to explain. Hope that helps, of course this all assumes these parts are still available.

Ive had no problems ordering parts simply by giving them this part #, although best to confirm everything with them first.

Well mine being perl White I will give the light colour choice and see what they say. Never know they may be able... one thing nissian is good at is making sure you pay top price if they do have them in stock though :D

your colour is listed as a two tone 5S5 (WK1/KR4) silky snow and sonic silver, has it been resprayed ?

No as far as I know it hasn't... and looking at the body it doesn't look like it.

antony

The two tone (5s5) refers to the bumper trim colour on the stagea i believe, see link. possibly previous owner or importer reprayed the silver to match your pearl white body, or is your trim still silver ?

I had a look again but the weather is dull and wet here in sunny qld.

When it is brighter I will have a look around the inner guards and a better look at the paint but at this point I can't find any evidance of it being touched.

Need to update my pics with the new wheels :D

looks like yours has had a body kit upgrade sometime, but I reckon it originally looked like that previous photo i posted, looks great now though.

yeah possibly.. i will track down the owner before the last... my friend I bought it from didn't do a thing to the body paint and it was imposted mid '06 I think it has had only one other owner... I have some of the original purchase paperwork from the original purchase in '98 but it's all in japanese.

Last month I was driving along and something dropped on my lap... nearly shit myself. It was 3 yellow cards with japanese and some hand written circles... like choosing different things.

My girlfriends sister was up and I showed her... she can kind of read some japanese and said she thought it was machanic report cards...

They where tucked in the visor.

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
