still tossing up (fap fap fap Lol) which sup to get, something easy to sink all protein and no carbs would suit me well, I don't care about taste, if it truthfully tastes good then Yeah I will hold out for it, but most of them taste so bad you can't really worry about it Lol.

PS.

the best motivation is feeling increased strength and muscle growth, pretty happy at the moment so I am upping the amount of different exercises I do per workout, in go squats and a few other old faithfuls.

edit: +1 for sub-section

Just compared nutritional info of protein direct (which I've used for a while now) and bulk nutrients chocolate WPI.

Energy levels are about the same per 100g

BN wins on protein % per 100g

BN wins on carbs with 1.7g vs 5.3g per 100g

PD wins on sugars with 1.1g vs 1.5g per 100g, close enough

PD wins on saturated fats with 0.4g vs 1g per 100g

PD wins on sodium with 190mg vs 205mg per 100g

So I've purchased 5kg of the bulknutrients chocolate. Have never tasted it, and should probably have gone with 1kg to try it out, but it's not about taste so I'm sure I'll get it down.

I also did a comparison, and I think they're pretty much close to each other in the above breakdown, but I chose PD because they were cheaper buy maybe.. 20$? ..something like that anyway.

PLUS, I was happy with the owner/manager emailing me back to my queries directly.. AND I received it the next day! VIC to ACT.

You'll make the 4th person thats purchased from BN i know in the last 2 weeks ZING!

I think you'll be happy as they all are (with the exception of one, he is still waiting delivery) :)

still waiting :( lol

Yeah no issue with service. Always arrives very quickly, 2 days at most. One time they sent me a bag labelled chocolate but containing natural, they sent me a free chocolate replacement and a flavor sachet for the natural, so about $100 worth of free stuff in the end.

Bulk nutrients is cheaper though. $270 for 10kg VS $300 from pd. Still cheaper even with the $5 extra in postage. And has a higher % of protein, so even if the price was the same as PD, it'd be better value imo

I read something earlier either in the brain health thread about sugar alcohol and not being absorbed....just wanted to get a little bit more info on that though not sure which thread to ask it in.....can someone explain what exactly the term "sugar alcohol" defines? Like, rum? lol....and it was said it doesn't get absorbed, would that mean drinking certain alcohols would give you less calorie/carb intake than others (mixers aside)?

Also BOOYA 5kg of Bulk Nutrients chocolate WPI just rocked up. LOVE the taste, though I will be honest it isn't 100% what I expected - though I haven't had a chocolate protein mix yet and this is the highest % mix I've had so far.

Shit just got real.

I had an interesting discussion about cheat meals recently.

Many people see them as an out for people who simply cannot strictly diet.

This isn't true, in fact, cheat meals serve a key purpose (or a dual purpose):

1: They trick your body into thinking that it is getting ample nutrients/calories, therefore, your body is less likely to go into starvation mode and do its absolute best to hold onto fat stores.

2: They keep you sane/more likely to stick to your diet and can be motivating. I especially look forward to my cheat meals whilst cutting.

Cheat meals are the safer option when compared to 'cheat days', you risk binging too hard on a cheat day lol. But if you can keep it within reason and it works, why not?

Jay cutlers cheat meals are good. Goes to a burger joint and orders 2 burgers with 4 patties on each, 1 slice of cheese on each and no added salt.

I plan to start cutting around mid august, but gotta start easing into it now coz I've gotten real last over the last few months

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
