Told you so Dan.

Matt is one of the Top 10 lifters in Oz

Spending money getting taught by a proper strength coach is the best thing you can do if you are serious about improving your lifts.

Look forward to reading about your progress

To say I was surprised is an understatement.

Not that I doubted what you were saying Markos, moreso that I doubted I could do it given what I thought of my back and ankle.

Based on how I feel today, my back and ankle must be stronger than I gave them credit for.

Initially my goal for this year, as in year starting October when I busted my leg, was to squat and DL BW for reps and get those areas more balanced with the bench. I'm confident I can do that and will have to pick some new goals for the remainder of the year.

Really good to hear the session was worth it Dan! Good shit :) Similarly, even without the coaching, I was blown away when I managed to pull 175kg at ~72kg body weight. Nothing compared to the PTC lifters, but I just didn't think it was really possible to do with remotely decent form at my size.

Go as high as you want man; it's about you, not impressing others or meeting their expectations. People will always be more concerned with their own lifts than others anyway. Improvement can be addictive though.

Dan, over 250 clients at my gym have pulled over 200kg, only around 15% compete, the other 85% are just like you and everyone else on this forum, only stronger lol

In time, you will pull 200kg

Good goal

At all? wtf?

I've had... Banana, apple, rolled oats, a few cups of tea, some saladas, home made chicken and veg soup for lunch, plus the aforementioned suffer in your jocks everyone else donuts.

Edited by ActionDan

I've had 1x regular skim flat white (320ml total, 2 shots espresso) and 1x jumbo skim flat white (470ml total, 3 shots espresso), and a multivitamin. Apparently that comes to somewhere around 245 cal.

C'mon man, lack of food is affecting you. I said "At all? wtf? " There's two question marks in there.. Get on board :D

Well you're forked in the head my friend. Going a day without eating is just plain wrong.

Are you some kind of masochist?

Please tell me you're only kidding and you're not in just as much denial about human nutrition and dieting methods as Birds is lol

I'd argue being overweight by eating complete shit is a better definition of being masochistic. Hell, even just eating "bad" food like your donuts is worse.

Going a day without eating is only good for you, short of being lethargic and grumpy.

lol nah you're missing the point entirely.

I enjoy eating food, not doing it is painful, to do that intentionally is the definition of masochism.

I didn't say anything about it being good or bad nutritionally, I give no f**ks for that.

I'm a simple man Troy, food good, no food bad.

Troy not eat food? Bad Troy.

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
    • Thank you so much for the help
    • Yes it is ATF. I quote @Duncan "it takes a good synthentic auto trans fluid like Castrol Transmax Z" It's not a diff. It's a transfer case. Totally different thing. Yes, fluid will come out the sender hole. No you do not really need to drain it. Just pull the old, quickly poke the new, clean up and top up. But realistically, you should probably take the opportunity to change it anyway.
