advantages of being an only child i guess ........ :(

Ive been told not to expect any Xmas or Bday presents for the next 10 years tho :)

Thanks Adrian :grouphug: .....ever tried to convince a Trev to buy a japanese car .... i tell ya it took a lot of begging to change his mind oh and a couple of test drives :D !!

But back to the topic .... i think with popularity of movies like Fast N Furious etc .... its going to influence the younger generation of car buyers to buy imports ..... so your likely to see more yet not less .......

Nope, I dont care if you're given the car or your parents took out a loan for you, I just dont think people that young should be driving such a powerful car straight up. I'm not saying I'm a better driver than a p-plater, but I've sure had more experience driving than a p-plater. Doesnt have to be a turbo'd car to be powerful plenty of v8's, v6's even some 4 cyclinder NA cars. I've just come back from busselton where I saw on several occassion people passing on bends and doing 130-140km/hr on the roads, that reall pisses me off too, cos one day they might end up doing that straight into me. I think its time the government started spending some of the fine money on educting people. Oh and fixing the country roads some of them are shocking.

Rob doesnt matter whether it is a turbo, V8 or 4 cyl ..... a 4cyl can do 140km around corners too .... just takes it a little longer to get there .... but no matter what power car u give them they can still kill themselves in it. Unfortunately theres irresponible people out there and thats never going to change ..... no matter how many kw's their ride is.

But on a personal note i feel that learning to drive in a V8 ..... my first car being a very quick 300zx with a backend that had a mind of its own ..... if anything taught me more about driving than driving around in a 4cyl would!

Hehe but i dont care ive got my license ..... if they want to put power restrictions on they can go ahead ..... no longer effects me :D but i doubt your going to see much change in the road toll because of it.

Theres definetely alot more r33's on the road this year. I hate to say it but theres more r33's on the road now than WRX's S14's , S15's and whatever other import which was sold locally. Theres not as many as say a SS commodore but it could head that way.

Part of that swayed me into a r32 and not a r33 , oh and the fact they look tougher :D

well ive definately seen more WRX's on the road than R33's by far! I know once u get into the northern suburbs there is a LOT of Skylines to come across ..... but otherwise on the way to work i rarely see another Line - but have sat in traffic surrounded by 4 new shape WRX's.

Unless its on a cruise i cant say i have ever sat in traffic surrounded by Skylines ..... maybe sat in traffic with a maximum of one other and usually they are stockies and look nothing like mine anyway ...... but cant say ive seen clones of my car around.

Doesnt matter - no matter what car u have ..... somewhere there are going to be a similar car .......

    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
    • So yes. All of them. Something like 98% of all fuel in the USA has 10% ethanol: https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/ethanol-fuel-basics It's labelled as like, AKI, 87, 91, 93 with an E10 or E5 or E15 label on the pump. At a certain point, it's not just "E10" instead of 91. It is 91, 95, 98, and all of them have 10% Ethanol in them. You can also get E85 and E30 which is why you do see some people rolling around with E30 tunes in them.
    • Thanks for the response. This is an 04 EP3 Type R. JDM spec. Fairly certain they're just basic BC racing coils. I do plan to keep as the ride quality on stock I've been told is pretty meh given Sydney roads. If I were to go down that avenue, does NSW require them to be a certain spec (close to original) etc?
    • Should have asked what is the car?
    • I've had two super conflicting experiences with blue slips. My 30 year old E39 waltzed through with no issues but my brother in law was knocked back on 12 y/o 3 series due to wiper blades and some cracking in a control arm bush.  What kind of coil overs? Do you want to keep them after?  If it was me I'd get some dirt cheap shocks and springs from eBay or scumtree. Not ideal but will get you over the line and might even be less than $1k.
