last few days, i keep seeing the same orange r33 with chick driving... bright orange with white rims (possibly sparco mesh-type rims), big angled exhaust. followed her for a fair bit this arvo after work along stephen's tce onto payneham.

yea i see it every now and then on portrush rd i think it is (maybe be payneham rd), went past her the other day when she was pulling out a side street. and the plates are SKYLINE if its the same one your talking about

Spotted my first GTR in awhile just after 5pm on Tapley's Hill Rd.

(Gold BBS style rims)

Seeing people driving with their boot lock cover up annoys me to no end lol

today at around 5ish spotted a clean white r33 series II with gold rims on kings rd heading onto main north. i think it was cleanGTS-T. eitherway definitely a sweet looking car.

Yep, was me. I had just got it running again. It died at the end of the street I work on this morning.

I accelerated up the road and felt a rough jolt, bit of a pop and immediately after it wasn't running very nice at all. I nursed it to work and it was just dying off with black smoke comming out of the exhaust :P (looked like un-burnt fuel)

After a quick phone call for help. I was told I had probably just popped off one of my Inter cooler hoses.

I had a look and sure enough thats what had happened. Clamped it back on, good as gold.

Scariest thing I've had happen so far.

Spotted a Yellow Lamborgini Murchialago (spelling?) on Hackney Rd tonight - VERY nice! was driving along side it for about 10 minutes, made me happy in the pants :/

Spotted a Black R34 GTR on Pultney St about 5:30, got an odd look when I was sussing his car from my 33 (heading opposite directions)

Also spotted a grey 32 GTSt in the back streets of Melrose park, gave a wave, got a nod :D

on my run last nite down near flinders............was runnin on the western side of south road near the expressway

first spot: Carl (bezender)..................get my phone out to do the ol SPOTTED text message, then i see Lee sneaking into a gap as well.........well, assuming Lee as it was a white 33 with kit, and one of the big SAU stickers top centre of the rear window

*waves*

Saw adz on wright road bout 6ish this arvo, nice to get a wave from another skyline driver for once

Saw a gunmetal 33 just before adz, just got a blank stare :(

Hey yer saw you coming, hard to miss a bright orange car :D but yer i think i saw the same gunmetal line, gave thumbs up, no response from them at all!!! grrr

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
