the weird thing is the story in the telegraph is completely different to the one online at smh. in the DT story the bloke was driving and the girl was a passenger, and he didn't slip away whilst they were arresting the female, he apparently confonted them with a knife and somehow overpowered them and took their paddywagon.

I find that hard to believe. He would have been sprayed or shot if he did that.

hmm my thoughts also, they would have used one of those methods im pretty sure.

Police just stuffed up and are trying to cover their tracks no doubt

they are full of poop! The girl was the driver..

He bolted into the cop car and sped off.. we saw it.. I would have felt like a total idiot too if I were one of those cops and had the patrol car stolen.

Seems a mix up...they didn't steal anything, they reclaimed the toyota as part of their entitled reparations. It broke. Then they laid claim to the police car in exchange for the toyota..Policemen like toyotas so he said furry muff fella on yer way........ then Kevin & Julia lived happily ever after!

better watch out people, theyre gona need to hand out alot of defect's to pay for that "misplaced" cop car.

Narp they'll just write it off against the new indiginous housing project as a moble home

Not all cops are tops, but not all cops are tossers either.

Stop with the cop bashing, I know some like to defect but it's the law. And to those that say cops are lazy and don't do f**k all. If only you knew the amount of work they do.

Try working for a legal system that hands out legal aid to Sh*t bags that steal cars like ours and get away with it. Reason - the legal system is designed in such a way that it works against cops. If you don't like the cops here, go f**k off to America, they'd try getting you for the most trivial sh*t.

I hate when people talk about sh*t they know nothing about.

how long does it take to train to be a cop? 6months like those advertisements say?

Plus 12 months as a probationer (on the job training) and every year after you have to pass a physical and you must pass your shoot (must hit 30 of 36 targets in a set time - as I recall) and tactical training - where they put you in a situation involving firearms and other weapons.

People here talk the talk but can they walk the walk... Doubt it!

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
