OK all,

Throttle cable is done, tail shaft is on and radiator ect is in,we even put oil in it. Have a small issue with the plenum to fix but thats about it.

For the first time in 5 months the car is off the stands and sitting on its tyres. :)

I have booked the car in for the week after next to get all the piping done.

Plenum problem now fixed, and installed the Greddy catch can.

Just got to hook up all the vacuum lines and put the bonnet back on.

Also added finishing touches like the Nismo oil cap and Nismo radiator cap.

Im getting rather excited now as i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, i even spent 10mins sitting in it getting my driving position just right lol

No doubt the night before it gets tuned it will feel like the night before xmas when you were a little tacker.

Yeh, and ill feel like a worried parent when its out in the shop for a few days lol

I do have a little concern about my new clutch.

I had an Xtreme cushion button before, now its a Jim Berry custom jobbie.

With the clamp load now being 3700lbs its feels sooo much lighter than the Xtreme one.

We have bled the clutch but it only improved it ever so slightly, so im beginning to think that its the way its suppose to be.

Just a bit weird knowing a have a monster clutch but it feels almost standard compared to the last one.

lol...

I went from a 1.2 tonne Xtreme clutch to the heaviest I believe 1.2tonne Exedy and the exedy felt like a feather compared to the super heavy Xtreme.

However; I felt a fairly new Extreme that was around the 1tonne mark and that felt fairly light so maybe it was just their old school clutches that were super heavy on the foot.

Dont forget, as clutches wear, they become heavier, thats why new clutched always feel lighter than the old ones they replace

pressed in

I thought as much. Looks like ill have to make do with the stock ones.

Anyway here is a new pic i took with the coil pack in bright silver:

post-32255-1214773843_thumb.jpg Looks like a Tomei "DERIVE" engine lol

Looks awesome in the sunlight.

Im getting a sticker made to replace the 2500 24valve logo.

they can be pressed out pretty easily

then either tap some threads or press some fittings in the covers and you can use earls stuff

ive got a set here that have had the stock fittings pressed out and earls 90 degs pressed in

Will be going to the exhaust shop in a week or two, then its off to the tuners so it will be on the road in a month id say.

On a side note my throttle cable is now too short for the plenum and trottle adaptor. No matter how i run it,it wont work. There must be people running the same setup as me who have got around this problem. Any suggestions??

R31 cable replaced mine :(

Ah the end is near!! Looking good, can't wait to see it in real life finally!!

The smile won't be off your face for at least a month :) Nor your ass out of the drivers seat for about the same time.... lol

If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
