Hey giant I have not seen the article, but Ian told me about it and follows the theme I have been telling Ian about this event having similarities of vision and challenges like that great movie, Field Of Dreams. Now the sign, Build It And They WILL come, which is what the heading is in Fast Fours. Ian said he still has not seen the movie or mentioned it to Fast Fours???

kinda off topic - anyone else doing the june 5th day with John?

Sorry buddy no can do I am saving some more coin so I can get SK's GB suspension set up. So I won’t have the car ready in time :starwars: .

If only it was around the same time as the SAU track day.

I might have to come for a watch though.

Are you going?

Hey Jas, just don't crash!!!

47 people confirmed for the 5th June at Oran GP. Good to see a number of people coming out before the big one on 5th July.

How come your not driving johny. Whats goin on are ya a bit worried about these GTRs lol.

i heard you got the times down at WP too!

New shocks and springs, not bad for a first up guess :w00t:

I have a new rear swaybar underway for him as well.

Plenty of fun still to be had.

Cheers

Gary

bloody hell gary where's the fun in that!! :)

he needs to tape down his boost button !!, him and i had a great drag race the other day, really cool.

I get my jollies from suspension, more power is OK because it gets me to the next corner faster where all the fun is >_<

Cheers

Gary

unfortunately I've come across a spot of a cash-flow problem, and as a result my motorsport hobby is on hold :) and my track car is for sale (see link in sig) :P

I don't know a cheaper way to get these kind of lap times - Wakefield 1:07.40, Mt Cotton 46.33 (under IPRA record), Conrod Supersprint 49.47

Not too late for someone to snap it up and enter Superlap...

Looks like a great car. Shame it wont be there. I know your pain regarding $$$. I am selling all the gear i have been accumulating for my car engine and drivetrain wise as i am chasing some dollars OS whilst on holidays. Though i think i am going to stop short of selling the car, but still undecided. Your car would be a good buy, hell cool and quick

You do know there are turns involved.

Just kidding it will be good to have the car there.

Of all the drag passes ive ever done (29 total), ive still done many more laps than that of Oran Park. I did have a life before straight line racing.

We could have entered in Clubsprint as our car is more than eligible but we thought it would be better in opens...just like football really, no point running around in reserve grade when a 1st grade spot is available.

Im sure we will have a competitive car and team. My sheepstation is not up for grabs so its all ok.

haha glad I'm not the only 1 that didn't pick it!

Fark, ok, do i get a second guess? Garry Wilmington? LOL my friend wanted to know who did the V8 laps at Wakefield and i was like "Garry Wilmington..." then i realised he probably doesnt do it anymore...then thought Ex Supercar/Touring Car driver :)

    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
