Hey guys,

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23422037-1248,00.html

Did any1 else see on seven news tonight, there was 3 guys who were in a red R34 gt-t (by the looks of it) said they were from bahrain over here for uni i think, anyway some thugs threw a light cigarette into there car whilst they were at the lights and proceeded to punch the driver in the head until unconscious. looked like a pretty vicious attack for no apparent reason, said police are after 5 guys and 2 of them are known to police already. anyway just wondered if it was anybody off here, i hope not, but still that is a piss poor attack, and i hope they catch them and throw the book at them. punk asses think they can do what ever they like to any1.

f**king weak carnt's i say, if u need to fight in a pack your a dog as far as im concerned. plus why do anything like this to some1, when they were probably doing nothing to you at all. hope the guys recover ok. one has both eye sockets smashed, and driver has broken nose, and other guy has other injuries.

The other night I was driving home after a milk run when 4 drunkn ass-hats tried to stop me, screaming some bullshit about holden being australian (hmm... i guess ford is too then?) and me being a rice lover. It happens alot, theres too much aggression in this country.

well i dont think he had time to drive off, he pulled up in a side street by the looks of it and the guys ran across the road before he could get out of his car and bashed him. then his passengers got out to try and help and he copped it aswell.

then again mate, you never know what the true story could be.

too many dumb knuckledragging f**ks

i don't use the word bogan anymore, because it's not solely them to blame anymore

it's every other australian in this damn country that has taken on this pigheaded attitude that they think they can stomp around and ram their opinion down other people's throats with force to feel big about themselves

.. whoa sounds like america

i was at the PCYC 'hoon' night at toombul shopping centre last thursday and some wanker aussie in a VE ute as he rolls past, yells out "NICE 33 WANKER" to my friend, then parked nearby. I mean why would you even smacktalk someone at a car meeting like that unless you wanted to start some shit just because what? you're bored? wanna feel more man?

it's not all bad news for skylines though, the weekend hoons scene is just as happy to have a skyline or commodore come along for the festivities, everyone's there to have fun

i'm confused :)

so weird, not much to say about this but ,it doesent make ay sence.. why not set up a race or something if its about the car types.. and from all the looser holden drivers over the years, no wonder i hate them so much and cannot even sit in any holdens without wanting to rip it apart.... stocko holdens are a joke, even the new ones.. lol...

i havent seen any of the yelling crap at my r33 on the gold coast much, i was in brissie and had a guy yell something from a crossing that i stoped at for him to walk across, and as soon as i pulled my key outta my car and walked over and asked what he said, he said nothing, he was yelling to a friend , and there was no friend around. lmao.

im guessing the only way a holden can catch us nissans is to kill the drivers or at least knock them out for a headstart.. LMAO

take out the nissans and i guess holden may sell more.. its a scam i tells ya :)

hmmm not really relevant but ill add it anyway! I walked out at 1 oclock last thurs night from work and my car has a trolley poled back window, tail lights smashed, head lights smashed, front and rear bars rammed and shattered with trolleys, trolley poled all left hand side... another mates skyline 3 parks over got ripped off and snapped sideskirt, kicked off mirror. trolley thrown on the bonnet, smashed front windscreen, dinted doors.. etc etc etc. about $4000 damage to each car. Nothing was stolen and no attempt made to get into either so it was just a big *uck you pretty much. Insurance doesn't cover either of our cars for vandalism so i can't drive it until i at least get the windows fixed. Not very happy about it eh. Considering all that money could have paid off my car or done turbo, manifold, microtech etc etc. Now i gotta save up for months to pay for some *uckhead spending 30 seconds on it.

What is wrong with people these days!! Im absolutely amazed with how low some people can be.. I would not even imagine trashing someones car or throwing a cigarette through a window and beating someone unconscious just because of the car they drive (if that's what it was). Which brings me to my next point... is it even worth driving a nice car like a skyline if ur going to get targeted for violence and vandalism everywhere you go??? lol.

Steve if i was you i would seeing blood, about 4Gs worth for the people who vandalised your wheels for no reason.

ease up on the gross generalisations people, why are some people saying all Australians (Please note the country you live in is spelt with a capital) are violent wankers. allot of this shit only happens in cities where people think they are 'thugs' or 'gansta' which is well known to be a city/hood culture. Australians who live outside this American ideal of every man for himself bullshit are some of the best people/mates i have ever known.

this is why i hate cities, everyone should spend sometime in the outback jackrooing or something to instill some mateship back into city culture.

while I'm having abit of a rant, why can't people just punch each other once or twice then let it go and have a beer together. It seems these days to win a fight and make your point you have to flog someone to within an inch of their life makes me so angry wtf is going on?

sorry to get carried away

so true about the cties and the wanna be tv thugs... most of these kids who do this would not stay alive 5 seconds in a real hard area, funny as hell, i wonder if they grow up if they look back and think, holy shit, why the hell did i do any of that, becasue i dont remember doing anything like the dickheads are doing to day, it was always harmless fun, maby a water bomb on a car or something, but damn, some one is going to get court one day and have there fingers choped of by one of us.. i do see mostly aussies causeing these issues tho, i had a aussie older guy yell some crap at me once about a bov or a turbo, but he sounded like a fool that didnt make any sence..

we need skyline protection, maby one of those poilce done up r34 gtrs to save us, would be funny seeing that arrive when a idiot does something to a skyline with the cops lights going :)

Well i can say one thing im glad they didnt cover it in petrol and light it on fire.. that would have been a little worse i think!! Just means from now on i can refuse to leave my car at places and not feel like a pussy about it coz sh!t like that can happen. Better safe than sorry!

Should get a bunch of real nice cars and park them in the middle of the carpark one time.. then get all of us to hang round the corner with bats! Bingo Bango!! Or maybe i should put beartraps all around my car so they're still out there when i finish work:)

    • Thought I would get some advice from others on this situation.    Relevant info: R33 GTS25t Link G4x ECU Walbro 255LPH w/ OEM FP Relay (No relay mod) Scenario: I accidentally messed up my old AVS S5 (rev.1) at the start of the year and the cars been immobilised. Also the siren BBU has completely failed; so I decided to upgrade it.  I got a newer AVS S5 (rev.2?) installed on Friday. The guy removed the old one and its immobilisers. Tried to start it; the car cranks but doesnt start.  The new one was installed and all the alarm functions seem to be working as they should; still wouldn't start Went to bed; got up on Friday morning and decided to have a look into the no start problem. Found the car completely dead.  Charged the battery; plugged it back in and found the brake lights were stuck on.  Unplugging the brake pedal switch the lights turn off. Plug it back in and theyre stuck on again. I tested the switch (continuity test and resistance); all looks good (0-1kohm).  On talking to AVS; found its because of the rubber stopper on the brake pedal; sure enough the middle of it is missing so have ordered a new one. One of those wear items; which was confusing what was going on However when I try unplugging the STOP Light fuses (under the dash and under the hood) the brake light still stays on. Should those fuses not cut the brake light circuit?  I then checked the ECU; FP Speed Error.  Testing the pump again; I can hear the relay clicking every time I switch it to ON. I unplugged the pump and put the multimeter across the plug. No continuity; im seeing 0.6V (ECU signal?) and when it switches the relay I think its like 20mA or 200mA). Not seeing 12.4V / 7-9A. As far as I know; the Fuel Pump was wired through one of the immobiliser relays on the old alarm.  He pulled some thick gauged harness out with the old alarm wiring; which looks to me like it was to bridge connections into the immobilisers? Before it got immobilised it was running just fine.  Im at a loss to why the FP is getting no voltage; I thought maybe the FP was faulty (even though I havent even done 50km on the new pump) but no voltage at the harness plug.  Questions: Could it be he didnt reconnect the fuel pump when testing it after the old alarm removal (before installing the new alarm)?  Is this a case of bridging to the brake lights instead of the fuel pump circuit? It's a bit beyond me as I dont do a lot with electrical; so have tried my best to diagnose what I think seems to make sense.  Seeking advice if theres for sure an issue with the alarm install to get him back here; or if I do infact, need an auto electrician to diagnose it.
    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
