Use the time to reflect WHY you lost the priveledge to drive in the first place :D

i reckon it would suck to not drive & being dependable with relatives/other half etc to be driven around.

I havent lost my license as such (touch wood) but am just saying imagine you wanna go to this & that places & cant go

cos no license....then u miss out big time lol

but yeh it would suxorz :D lol

I actually like losing my license... I normally garage the car and just work on it! It is actually pretty fantastic :D

But when that happened I could have walked to work (2kms away) but still got a lift, and happen to be in a car club :)

Saved a shit tonne of money and had a ball being productive on the car!

And whenever I went out it would be drinks somewhere, so I couldn't drive anywhere anyway...

^^ lmao thats one way to look at it.

im about t lose my license too, i lost 3 points for not having p plates up and another 3 for talking on mobile (it was on handsfree speaker i thought it was legal to talk on handsfree in the car, eg blutooth headset thing is legal?)

i dont know what im going to do once i have lost it =/

for me it was like loosing a leg. made it alot harder getting to places. learnt my lesson and spared heaps of k's on the engine...ha. but getting on the piss and taking the last train home sucks balls.

+1

YUP thats true.

I lost mine last month and still got 2 more to go :D got done for speeding ;) ..

it does feel like you have no legs and very inconvenient eg. late at night you feel like a kebab

and you cant drive + everyones sleeping..unless you wanna risk it ;)

save you heaps of money on petrol i reckon and games will help for a while ^_^

GL mate

i didnt lose my licence. but was without a ride for 4 months due to major modifications. the first month is the WORST.

but even though i hated it and missed driving, after the first month u kind of get into a rythem and get used to it.

BUT NEVER EVER AGAIN... dont lose your liscence again :/

I lost mine for 6 a few months back.. It was NOT fun.. The first 3 months seem to fly by, but those extra 3 really take a while..

And i might be losing it again soon as I've been in and out of court 3 times now (Won every time) But, after that 5 points loss or w/e for the 6 month fine I have/am/might be on 0 points, and a few weeks ago.. of all things I got 2 points for doing a U-turn on a quiet Thursday night at 10pm with not a soul in sight.. Except the cop who just happened to be coming around the corner down the road as I made my turn :/

I'm not sure how this is going to play out, as it's so covenient having the car for uni as I can sleep in longer.. But meh, anything is better than 6 months..

And petrol is so dam expensive now anyway meh, might give me time to save up and play around with the car a bit.

Bah, you're complaining about losing your licence for 3 or maybe six months?

I haven't had a licence for almost 2 years and still have 10 months to go!! It sure does suck but you sort of get used to it. I ride my push bike now when i can't get lifts, at least i'm getting fit!

you can apply for the 1 year good behaviour thingy

Thats what i am doing.

Bloody took a trip to Tassie, had a hire car, didnt realize they do not warn you about upcoming speed cameras.Lost 6 points in a space of 30mins.

Got back to Sydney and a week later got the fines in the mail. Two days after that i crashed the skyline trying to get the hospital where my missus was. There went another 3 points in neg driving.Fark what a great week that was.

Try and get a Good Behaviour Bond or a Special Hardship Order. Im on a SHO now and I can only drive to and from work and to and from uni but its better than nothing. Theres a few ways around losing the license so do your research and don't just lay down and take it. I appealed my second offence and that alone got me 6 months before I went to court. But i spose if you cant be bothered its always good to save money etc. And like what was said above you'll find out who your tru friends are.

hehehe i recon u guys wil like this one... I LOST MINE FOR 15 MONTHS.... 2 months left...... its hard .. really hard.... 8 months through i decided to buy my gtr so i could work on it and get it prepped

:( i mean seriously 15 MONTHS

help >_<

well..

it's like this..

Having your license is like having sex on Tap.. Good sex.. Hot sex.

You lose that, and you can have all the blow up dolls, vaso and porn you can buy to replace the real thing, but in the end, after you've left your load in that plastic bitch, and wiping your wang before you turn off that porn, you will think about how much you miss real hot poontang.

So I've been told.

well look on the bright side...now is a perfect time to do all those modifications to your car that would have had it off the road for some time...eg respray, engine out...those kind of mods...you can take your time about it ..no need to rush it so you can drive to work etc....

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
