Roy
Would you have dyno graph of your stock turbo, so as to compare response and power . Sorry one more question, the car runs ok with that turbo and the std ECU? Maybe not optimally but it runs well enough not to be harming the engine? R32-GTS
Good to see it made huge power. If you were to have the fuel and pistons to handle it 25psi would make massive power . Im thinking 400 + at wheels. Turbo seems to be working good rob Once you get some sort of tuning on there will probably reduce the spool up time as well. GTS-t VSPEC
Roy, Rob took me for a drive with the new turbo on it and when the boost kicks in it's quite impressive, but you can feel the power dip where the stock management dumps excessive fuel in. Although the std computer does cope there is alot of power to be gained from the addition of aftermarket management, aswell as a more responsive drive:D Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21468-trust-td06-20g-stage-one/page/4/#findComment-462939 Share on other sites
YBSLO4
Dude guna be an iffy one i think, mean ass turbo don't get me wrong but probs a bit to big an exhaust housing for it. All the gtst's running super quick times at the moment tend to use a machined T3 exhaust housing with a bigger T3 steel wheel. The rotories tend to have a larger exhast housing as they flow a low more gasess. So could have the problem of major wheel spin and very quick redline when boost actually comes in, which aint good becuase you can't stretch the speed out of each gear. Great top end tho P.s. DON NOT CONNECT THE WASTGATE TO YOUR EXHAUST!! nothing sweeter than hearin a wastegate open next to ya coming form a ripped ass skyline Putin one on mine real soon Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21468-trust-td06-20g-stage-one/page/4/#findComment-463118 Share on other sites

Yes it spools up slow, yes it races to the rev-limiter. Yes the exhaust housing is probably too big. Once I fit the fuel system and ecu I'll post the final dyno curves then. If I can get it to come in earlier, might look at cams and a better manifold than the stock one from a flow point of view. The guy who did the turbo work for me has been in the turbo business for a while, I'm sure he knows what he's doing otherwise he'd been out of the business a long time ago. BTW: bigger turbo's and external wastegates are loud enough without a screamer pipe/cop bait... if you want to hear it I'll take you for a ride in my car, I think I might have to add a resonator in the exhaust somewhere. YBSLO4
Thats cool dude i aint doubtin ghis knowledge just saying from experience as i kno a few guys who have put large turbos on their cars and like everything has had ups and downs. 20G turbine is definately huge tho Ahh well the bigger the better ey As for wastegate sound i know it'll be loud without the screamer cos i am running a HKS actuator and its friggen loud on my garret T03/4 so an external on yous is gunna be loud, if anyone has ever heard the rotories with them big turbos on it you'll know what i mean As you said with a computer and fuel system upgrade you will pick up heaps. I am waiting for my Bosch 044 to come in and a Power FC then injectors aswell. But just a tip... dunno if i can change your mind and what you heard but had a few really good inside tips on computers and found out Wolf's even the V4 have very poor tuning capabilities, in fact not far off that off an SAFC-II as far as fuel is concerned and the increments you can adjust at. Apparently microtech and all the others are the same as i know the Wolf in particular was designed more for rotories to start with of which they have a far less sophisticated fuel system having only 2 injectors usually. The best to go for if you can afford are for the Power FC cos its so easy to plug, play and tune... or an autronic which has been rated as a baby Motec. Up to you tho, PM me if you want details heaps to go into but too late and too tired lol And info is from a very very realiable source, mates dad owns Unichip and they tested all the units themselves Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21468-trust-td06-20g-stage-one/page/4/#findComment-463186 Share on other sites
rob77
I have a few mates who own r33's as well as having the wolf3d. One of them runs a hks t04, one of them still running the stock turbo. Both of them perform extremely well and both are very happy with the tune. The tuner has tuned wolf for a while now and knows all the ins and outs, like the turbo guy. YBSLO4
I know dude, this guy my mate knows owns this car OBHAVE is hte fastest GTSt in aus runs a 10.2 and he runs a WOlf, but not the point... i was jus saying they don't tune to the same degree others can for the same price. But your call, hope it all turns out well Sounds good anyhow. Good luck dude. GTS-t VSPEC
YBSLO4, Don't know where you heard such rubbish about the new Wolf from, but I can assure you that your dead wrong. Has more sites and tunability than the PowerFC, plus alot more features. If you were talking about the old Wolf then I might agree with you. But your wrong about the new one. YBSLO4
"OBHAVE isn't the fastest GTSt in Australia. Brett Whitbread ownz the fastest GTSt 9.464, its almost 1 second faster then the second fastest Skyline driven by Ryan Quinn 10.35" When did he run this time? and is it a street car? If anyone went to autosalon you would have seen OBHAVE with a biggass red sticker on window saying fastest GTSt in australia. It is still a fully registered street car on street tyres. I heard my info from the builder of Unichip who had the opportunity with computer professionals to rip apart each of the most popular computers around at the moment to check out what was in them. I believe him cos i seen all the shit about it. And yes i was refering to the older one cos thats what they tested, and thats what a lot of guys are still running.
