Croydon Racing Developments in Sydney are now the owners of the GReddy new GTR demo car that was on display at Toykyo Auto Salon.

It arrived at their shop less than an hour ago and we were invited down to get the first pics and video footage. Croydon are Australia's first GReddy "Pro" dealer and the new GTR was aquired to help develop new parts and software and help them stay at the forefront of GTR development

We will be exclusively filming the car during its development. We will be filming it get dynoed over the weekend behind closed doors and it will be going to WSID next week on Wednesday night to run some numbers! Croydon will also be bringing GTR700 and DEVLISH out of retirement very soon and Ignition will be there to capture all the action. Enjoy these first few pics, there are more to come.

so this car is sold to CRD? not just a loan or display or whatever?

yeh not that it's a big deal or anything but does aquired mean it's a loaner ?

Strange...

Why would GReddy do a thing like that? I just cant see them farming out their own developed vehicle to Australia. Stay at the front of GTR development? Considering Australia doesnt even have official shipments yet and wont for a long time yet, the only forefront of official development will be happening here, in Japan.

So i would argue, GReddy will be farming out performance upgrades that have been "developed" in Japan, not Australia.

And since when was CAS a developer? They "stock" "developed" parts from Japan, lol.

Oh and the graphics on that car are hideous. If they did get that car i hope they also got a discount!

Don't think crd would "own" it, so would be interesting to see how much "development" the Japs will allow CRD to do...

Hope they do something special with it... :P

My point exactly. As Sewid has already said, there are very few upgrades for the GTR yet and that even in Japan, so where this "development" is going to come from in Australia is something id love to know. Besides, what is available atm is limited to one off body kits, in their production infancy, exhaust systems, interior changes and ECU upgrades and thats about it. The OP has made some pretty big claims on behalf of CRD and id like to know more about them.

If indeed GReddy Japan has sold the car to CRD, i would be mightily surprised, all things considered.

there are virtually no upgrades for the GTR yet, so where this "development" is going to come from

CRD having a poke around the new platform's chassis and power/drivetrain is already putting them ahead of the other Oz tuners. They'll have more direction in part development and tuning just by having it on hand IMO.

CRD appear to be pretty khuneckted :P

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
