Suggestions For Parts To Bring Back From Japan With M35 Stagea Half Cuts.

Recommended Posts

I have an M35 Stagea that we cut up coming over for spare parts and I thought I would ask what OEM parts would you think might be needed one day for the M35, aside from the usual items for any model car including panels, lights, gearbox's and motors, has anybody had issues with little bits that Nissan have asked stupid money for that might be worth looking for while my mate is over their chasing down some V35 bits at the wrecking yards.

I am not saying I will be selling M35 bit's or that I will be taking orders or anything like that so don't PM me as I am not an SAU trader, it is just my mate has some important V35 bits to source and you never know what he might find.

i recon you would have a few buyers for series 2 dayz front and rear bars

yes....rear subframes will be a good seller. other manufacturers that have gone ally subframes have cracking problems, and so does at least 1 I knmow of out here already.

The Power Duct. It is the piece that opens the front of the V35 airbox but is an extra on the M35. Nissan ask $180 for that piece of plastric.

I agree the powerduct would be very handy indeed.

my C34 subframe is cracked :)

This makes 3 for the powerduct.

Also driveshafts. Gearbox with the stall converter.

P.S. Would be interested in getting a spare turbo before I pull mine out.

P.S.S.If you find a manual(not likley as I think they only came with the 3.5lt)..

The 350s by Autech came with 6 speed manaul, not sure if it will fit, but it would be nice if it did...I'd spend the cash if I knew it would fit. Rumour says it does.....

damn straight, if a white dayz front bar with spotlights happens to fall into your container, i'd buy it...........

Would only get with half cut's, not a normal thing to come across, try Japan Parts for a bit like that.

I think Jap Parts WA have a couple of 34 rear cuts from memory and should have rear Sub-Frames.

I bought a Non Turbo M35 Stagea for those odd bits, looking for a turbo M35 next week to cut up and spare turbos are another priority.

6 Speed Manual came out in 3.5 only from 03/04 and very rare, as an example I did a search through the auctions and their was 3 Manual M35's against 545 Auto M35's so they will be rare and getting the parts to convert an Auto to Manual will be more then hard.

yeah body kits are a bit scarce in Perth *** hint ***and the replacement strips for when you remove the roof rails. I want mine gone!

Might be some Stagea Body Kits in the pipe line (made in Perth on site not Ex China) but either way I will pass it on and get them to look next week in Japan for something different, email Graham at Japan Parts for the replacement strips as they shouldn't be to expensive.

Getting cars to cut for my workshop spares of the M35 Stagea wont be to hard compared to other newer models so I should have everything soon, I am sick of hearing "What about spare parts" so I will be able to say what do you want and then go look around the corner.

The pocket with the lid above the A/C controls would be handy as mine had an aftermarket TV mounted there so I have a large hole in the pocket with no lid. Also the inside box of the upper glove box where the Sat/HDD was, large hole carved in there. :/

This makes 3 for the powerduct.

I believe that there is/was a turbo on Import Monster. Cost about $300 last time I saw it.

Powerduct wanted here also.

But what I REALLY want/need is the black weather strips that are on the bottom of the front doors.

Mine are split towards the rear of the door.

I sell those.

Forgot to request (depending on price);

PM35 Xenon headlights

PM35 grill

Z33 Brembos

:););):D:D:D

Are they the one's that are on the 350z's?? :)

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
