f**k the planet, its gonna get destroyed one day by a comet and what will happen is poorer get poorer, i rkn there will be mayhem and lots of killings and robberies of banks, that what probably will happen . become like America, Australia aint the lucky country it used to be, time to move country if stuff gets expensive like other countries not worth liveing here. for example ppl in this country all money hungry and everyone thinks about money all the time, u goto england or mexico or spain or italy everyone is poor and they still manage to have greate time and be happy and party and live life, here cant say its the same. some one comment on me if im wrong or got some thing to say

True that.

After tax, more tax, everything we buy that's taxed including fuel, smokes, alcohol, etc. and then some more tax we have about f**k all of our income left to spend freely.

I've got a feeling something bad is gonna happen soon.. comet, mass riots, plague?

is it one of the blue echos... half tank should last a few years ;-)

anyway increasing the price wont stop ppl driving... if it did then no one would smoke or drink anymore.

at the end of the day,it is an open economy and the ACCC cannot do anything. as long as the petrol companies dont collude or some other silly thing like drive compition away. when Coles increased the price of VPR to over 30c/L more than ULP i complained to ACCC, and they said as the price is a demand and supply issue and as long as ppl are willing to pay the 30c extra they (coles) can set whatever prices they want.

hey hang on the compition is going away soo we will pay more for fuel anyway. and the 4c dockets is a joke... for every 30bucks you spend in coles/safeway the price of general groceries etc has already been increased by $2-5 already. i remember spending 50 bucks would fill our trolley (before the dockets) and not 100 doesnt fill it....

hence i have voted with my feet. get fuel from one of the independents, get vegies/fruit from dandenong market and grocries from Aldi.... saves us a couple of rate rises.

and saw the best the other day, unfortunately on ACA/TT. co-op buying from the main fruit/vegi markets and saving even more.

yea your right ziad used to fill trolly with 50/100 now you cant do that anymore, now my parents goto aldi and go to markets and buy stright from there and save a few dollars but even the market uses excuses like less water and put prices up expensive and the quality by the end of the day aint that good, so they put it for cheap my dad makes tomatoe sauce every year this year he couldnt because box of tom last year was like 15 to 16 and this was like 20 so my dad didint botther and buy already made things are getting harder, i should stop bitching and live a happy life but cant in this country lolz

Thats what you and the likes said last year, and will say the same next year... in space of three years you will be paying 40 bucks more for a full petrol tank.

I have sold my Skyline to buy a house and a new Corolla... f**k the oil companies.

BTW, cut the foreplay and make the petrol 2 bucks a litre... then only the rich will be able to drive, there will be less cars on the roads and the planet will breath easier.

In the space of 3 years my change in disposable income will be able to more than account for the change in petrol price.

I can see the logic in buying an economical car, but driving something 'fun' is important to me as a lifestyle factor.

Buddy, if only the petrol price was the only thing that was rising in cost... food, real estate, schooling/uni, public transport are all on the rise... even your local plumber down the road will up his fees... so if you think that your increasing salary will cover your fuel costs, think again.

Whil I agree that they should tax high on smokes and alcohol (too many people getting wasted and causing lung cancer around here) I find that tax on other things is unfair.

Funny how when you buy a new car or a house you gotta pay taxes, then when you sell it again the government wants taxes again!

Whatta joke with the first home buyer's grant, they give you $10 K to buy a first home, then they charge you $14 K in fees... greedy pricks.

The federal government gives you the $10k..

The state governemt charges you stamp duty etc, ie the $14k.

So it is simply a matter of which government is being greedy.

No longer drive my skyline to work, new location and catch the bus. I really wouldn't be suprised if it reaches 2$ in the next few months or so either. Does seem to be a bit of a speculative joke. I can see petrol going up in price, but the amount it has gone up in the last few years is a bit of a joke. Demand hasn't gone up 100% like petrol prices.

Anyway if petrol does go up to 2$ will be either buying something on gas to drive around, or a small econobox to drive around. Skyline will be the weekend/track car. Stuff getting 350-400kms on 50 litres for a joke.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
