Marty..

Battle 3 .. its Black STi vs Blue WRX (Not Black WRX) :)

Daz is kicking Brentons ass there not mine

I am pretty sure i get my ass kicked by a girl in that round

Pete

Pete sorry about that was late I was drunk....

fixed now tho

Leewah...Deal with it

in the battle 2 vids of prpl 33 GTR vs 300zx, someone behind the camera goes "i never knew a slow car could do that"... haha thanks :D also i never realised that my na zed is loud enough to drown out a gtr from the other side of the skidpan hehe. nice vids btw Martin :P

i'll definately come up to watch/help out at deca masters... will be an awesome event and it's always good to watch the faster cars. hopefully uni exams are over before november 15th deca so i can have another go.

yeah paul said the same thing, it's nothing serious though which is why i kept driving. it's because the zed has pcv pickups on the passenger side cam cover so on hard right hand turns it picks up too much oil and it gets sucked into the plenum and smokes like a chimney... same thing happened at deca last feb but it was worse because the long wang was clockwise last time. not the best look when your driving around blowing smoke but my engine is actually very healthy compression-wise and doesn't burn a drop around town. i'm gonna change the pickups so that they're on the middle 2 cam covers when i get some time off uni and that will stop it from smoking next time :P

Your car was also blowing some pretty severe smoke in the arvo battles, in case ya dont already know... everytime you were on the opposite start block to me so i couldnt tell ya as you were driving off :D

Hanging around DECA threads a bit late at night aren't you Daz?

Wouldn't be waiting for the results by any chance would you?

Might just let you wait a little longer....... They are finished, but I need to confirm one result with Snowy in the morning and then I will post them up.

Yep I beat you all morning :P

Haha! :P

I saw a cone hit & a tonne of tyre smoke when he missed a chicaine!

That's a WD as the timing won't be accurate! :(

I'm going to fight for this one! :P

The one technical issue with your fight Daz is that the lock-up/missed chicane was on the 80% non-timed practise run :P

The good news is I did have 2 other stuff ups during the day so I'm no threat to winning the day anyways.

OK here are the results....

Well done to all.

Stand outs for me are:

Daz - Good times all day without one mistake.

Ryan - Let someone else win RWD.

Chris Stacey - Great results for a first time.

Russell - Some great times

    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
    • With ordering the belt, you're doing water pump and the idler and tensioner at the same time too yes?
    • This is just a dumb way of keeping the wastegate closed to make more boost. Undo it and either follow the factory setup or redo it properly. Manual boost controllers just use a spring preload to determine when to close in response to boost pressure so it no longer vents to atmosphere.
    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
