firstly, welcome to sau,

to be quite honest with you its your car, so you can do whatever you like with it. does it really matter what other people might think?

Momo is a really good quality brand and i think that our skylines deserve the best!

mine has a sparco steering wheel and i love it.

just my opinion...

It's like seeing a HKS muffler on a Commodore VT SS.. OH MY GOD! HAHA!!

Thats cool man I gota Nardi Torino one on mine.

IF someone can tell me where they company is from that will be great, Im probley just genralising but it sounds Italian, but you know the Japanese, they can use all sorts of names LOL!

ie. Mario and Luigi (Mario Brothers) are created by the Japanese. LOL!

Yes, yes you are,

You also typed this post in english, big no no. Next time do it in Japanese kanji while you're at it...

Then go and watch a sumo wrestling match while you eat sushi and have an unhealthy obsession with highschoolgirl's used panties

Seriously though, does it really matter?

My R34 came with factory option Bilstein shock absorbers and they are also a factory option on my Z ($4,500 my @ss Nissan)

GTR's from the R33 onwards have Brembo brakes, RX7's/MX5's/RX8's all have optional Nardi steering wheels etc.

So even from factory it isn't all Japanese.

It goes both ways too though... read somewhere that the final lamborghini Diablo used 300ZX headlights, they even covered up the "Nissan" logo on the inside by putting a sheet of carbon fibre over the top of it.

Lotus use a celica engine etc. etc.

I have a MOMO steering wheel, good quality brand. What about all the cars with Turbosmart BOVs? OR GFB parts? They're 2 aussie brands! Or leather retrims... they dont use japanese cows. I dont think it matters that much. Now... putting an audi badge on a skyline is an entirely different thing tho

I will use the fewest words to satisfy your question... The Japs called their Japanese-produced, engineered and designed car, a Nissan "Skyline" - need I say more? Who cares where something is made or designed... for all we know, some of the part inour cars might have been produced in China... hahah

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
