Neither did I but apparently there are ... was gonna buy some dash leds but the seller says they're no good for the s2 r34 so I'm trying to find out which one I've got. googlign 'r34 series 2' brings up a lot of results too eg.

i can help there are a couple interior differences the series 2 has a silver top and bottom on the steering wheel and the seating fabric is different to the first r34.

plus some have a different front as well. im so close to 100% that this is what a series 2 is or someone is lieing to me.

front of a series 2 non turbo r34 not sure if the turbo ones had this front as well or not ive only ever seen series 2 turbo r34's with the nismo option front. same interior as the pics above except for the gauges.

yeah i dont have any of those silver bits (speedo, shifter and dash, windows buttons etc) so it must be a series 1. Must say I like the s2 update ... shouldn't be too hard to make it look like an s2 anyway though  I think there's a thread here somewhere on how to paint the plastic bits into any colour you like

i like the series 2 especially the dash the white looks really good plus the steering wheel is awsome too. it looks more refined and not too cheap. i want my interior to look like that or just to have the dash would be great.

i believe that this 34 is quite possibly a model received in new zealand (not sure where else) and not necessarily a series 2 specific body as i remember seeing something about this before somewhere on these forums, although i may be wrong

that pic was taken from power road car sales it says its a 2000 or 2001 series 2 and there in melbourne his cars come straight from japan. i dont like that front of them anyway.

i agree also, the pedals do look awsome.

forgot to mention i also remember reading that somewhere to about the new zealand thing, but im not sure if its true or not cause it doesnt make much sence.

    • Hi All,    I have my BW EFR 8474 with a T4 split 1.05 rear housing. Rear housing is ceramic coated and drilled and tapped for EMAP take off.  Supported 520awkw at 35psi through the 8HP with ~5k rpm spare on the BW 127k limit. Ran a 9.98.    Turbo is one of the first that was released but only done ~3k kms.    Asking $2800 happy to negotiate. Only selling to upgrade.   Located Gladstone QLD happy to ship.
    • Hi is the Toshiba sceeen still available?
    • Just wondering how come the hood was grinded down?
    • I have no hard data to report, but I have to say, having driven it to work and back all week, mostly on wet roads (and therefore mostly not able to contemplate anything too outrageous anywhere)..... it is real good. I turned the boost controller on, with duty cycle set to 10% (which may not be enough to actually increase the boost), and the start boost set to 15 psi. That should keep the gate unpressurised until at least 15 psi. And rolling at 80 in 5th, which is 2050 rpm, going to WOT sees the MAP go +ve very quickly and it has >5 psi by the time it hits 90 km/h. That's still <2.5k rpm, so I think it's actually doing really well. (I edited this from a previous version where I stated 80km/h was <2000, but that was a false memory. If I am rolling at ~1700 in 5th and floor it, it will start making boost before it goes over 2k - which is a separate "experiment" leading to the same conclusion. Which is that the boost threshold is actually quite low. It's not fast there, obviously, but it certainly makes progress towards going fast, which is not what it's been like for a long while!!) Because of all the not-quite-ideal things that have been in place since the turbo first went on, it felt laggy. It's actually not. The response appears to be as good as you could hope for with a highflow.
    • Or just put in a 1JZ, and sell me the NEO head 😎
