This might seem like a stupid question, but what is this for?

I'm kinda new to the skyline community/skylines, but i'm interested in whatever it is you do, and what you would need a banner for :)

It's for events such as Marque in the park and the show at Old Parliament House, so that people know who we are. We quite often out number the clubs that are running the show (like the Ford club that holds Marque in the park) and it can maybe help get more numbers and attention for other things.

One thing to think about as well, what will the banner say? Since we aren't a club per say, will it only be SAU? or will we put SAU NSW on it? since they are incorporated?

It says SAU and skylinesaustralia.com Even SAU NSW don't have NSW on their banner.

We can put ACT on it, or just have Skylines Australia, or whatever we want really, it doesn't matter.... we're still a social group on this forum..... "official" or not and trust me, no one is going to care or tell us off for doing it

Looks good.

My 2c

I think the car is a little over powering, perhaps it could be slightly smaller and I think that the text nees to be more prominent. Maybe have it right across the top or bottom.

Cheers

Stephen

It's not my favourite, but if we're to use it, I'd also suggest a smaller rear wing, the one on it looks too ricer like to me, not a good image for the club to project. Not that it looks bad.

OK I actually agree with this, but others don't.

Mick, can you do up two pics for a final vote (anyone not put forward their ideas by now, tough). Both pics to have enlarged words with one the current R34 and the other a stock R34 GTR, both with the same profile.

Mick you can put his initials has designer on the banner if you want :-)

Working on it...

I need a high res photo of the rear quarter of an R34 GTR (preferably bayside blue) that isnt copyrighted.

If anyone has one that we can use for the banner please post it here.

I like the GTR Idea a little more, Most of us love the look of the stock car's (or gts-t's with GTR body kits :) )

I still need a picture of a GTR (un copyrighted)... C'mon people.

If we want a banner more than a handful of us need to comtribute. ;)

I'll need an E-Mail address to send my photos to you.

Taken with a Pansonic FZ7 with a Leica lens - Hi Res I think

    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
    • I take it that the knock retard is from bearings tapping a little tune? Thicker oil is a fragile bandaid. You need a much bigger oil cooler and probably the bigger pump being discussed.
