my wife is 'grounded' at home anyway with the baby till at least another 2 weeks... (the asian 1 full moon confinement thing)

by the way I didn't call or make any reservation at garage cafe as I assume this is just a greet & meet at 2:30pm?

Yeah, greet and meet...and to freeze our "balls" off....

Maybe the next meet, we can book at Garage Cafe...

There's many who have read this thread, but seems reluctant to come...This is a NOTE TO ALL, the more that come and meet, the more of a 'Force' we become and the more events can be arranged in future...

Rianto - you wife is Asian? Yes, I know the 1st month thingy ('cos I'm Asian too), the baby is supposed to be 1 yr old after the 1st month...

yeah, that's why I am 1 year older in my chinese / lunar year compared to my gregorian year...

although I can't still quite grasp 100% the concept since babies are average about 9 1/2 month in the belly plus 1 month since born that's not even 11 month, but considered 1 year old according to lunar calendar... oh well but that's the way it is for over thousands of year since they come up with lunar calendar system... maybe it's like golf handicap thing, they get free 3 month handicap before even conceived :D LOL

Thanks to all for coming...we had 7 members today!!! Not sure if you guys noticed, but there were a few drive-by on-lookers checking out the rims and cars...

V35 Coupes:

Pics are available in Hi-res upon request. Please also PM me your contact numbers and email addresses, so I can add you on MSN.

I was happy with the turnout, considering there wasn't many interest!!! Hopefully, the next V35 VIC Meet will be greater by number and at a place where we weren't freezing our balls off....

There was a general consensus to have a baking day...NO! Not the cooking/baking, but baking headlights to remove the orange blinkers...Once I perfect it on my sedan (when I get some more $$$ to order my new headlights), I'll get something arranged...

Stuff discussed included:

Do's and don'ts

What was worth modifying (grounding kit, CAI, bulbs, HID)

Bose Stereos & Compliancing

Ricer stuff....

Personally, I liked MILLOS's deep dish rims and pw350gt's CF paddle shifts....Very ricer!!!

Nelson.

More pics from my camera....

2nd pic was experimental with one of the camera features - colour accent... so only red is shown...

it was freaking cold out there, quite windy but good turn out... i'm sure there's lots more V35 owners to join in the future....

Unique things to highlight from our meet:

Only 1 car has original orange indicator (mine)

Only 1 car has rear windscreen wiper/rear camera (siu loong bao's)

Only 1 coupe has original 18" rim

Only 1 car has rear aero spoiler

Only 1 car has sunroof (V35Sky's)

Only 1 car has factory weather shield on the window (V35 300GT)

Only 1 pair of badgless bootlid (yeah, I'm running out of idea)

Added: Probably the best of them all... 1 40th Anniversary coupe with cream interior/full leather was "downgraded" to regular premium with half suede leather/black interior. Sorry to the owner but I just can't help it...

good to hear a good turn up at the vic v35 meet, wished i was there! maybe next time... just taken my car to the final inspection, will post some photos when i get it back monday!

congrats for showing our pride n joy.

Hey guys,

I had a great time meeting you all this afternoon, I think we had a magnificent turn out considering we only had 5 confirmed and 3 maybes.

The cars all looked great, it was good to meet you all.

I will attach some pictures of each of the cars that turned out, front and back of each of the seven cars, and one other!!!

Also discussed at the meet was the idea of doing a cruise next time, now that we have gotten the first meet and greet out of the way, we could probably be more comfortable with a cruise!!!

    • That still isn't a lot to go on. I don't have a Y50 Fuga Head Unit wiring diagram. I can say that a lot of nissans of that age shared head unit plugs, so if you are in Australia something like this would probably help: https://aerpro.com/app091# You plug that into the car loom, then either plug the head unit ISO into that (if it has ISO), or you buy and ISO adapter harness that you wire in. Bit of stuffing around, but once you have ISO its easy to change things in future.
    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
