Nice pics there Vu!

Piece of advice - when I put an aftermarket radiator in my R34 I noticed a HUGE INCREASE in water temperatures. Worked out is was due to not having a shroud over the fan. Get on this asap!

Yeah I'll have the shroud back on as soon as I sort out a pin hole leak on the radiator(due to the bent fan blade scraping along it at the SAUSA track day).

that thing looks familiar. by chance does the exhaust have an AM performance heat shielding on it?

think i drove past you one day on diagonal road, gave u the thumbs up for a sick ride

Might have been another puma, there were about 13 at the annual get-together yesterday... I noticed at least one there had a bit of work done by Andrew on it - a gold one from memory.

Edited by samstain

andrew hates the living shit out of one of those puma owners.

and am i the only one who would want to give the usual sr idea a miss and put an lsx in a puma instead?

lol @ the 4wd pic! Nice pic of the 34 with (I'd hope )is your gf...:P. Stag pic looks nuts!

well id be lieing if i said it was my otherhalf, but theres upsides to having a nice ride,,,,:P

after about two hours of playing around the nav started...dont trust aftermarket snorkel instal jobs..

    • Admittedly in that screenshot its doing about 13psi but later on in the log theres definitely spikes to 16. What is missing though is the massive peak, then a big drop and then a recovery. While it does go a little higher than I would like on base pressure, I think it's reasonably safe to assume that boost control via the mac valve should be a lot easier to control from here on out. I wasn't game to hook up the mac valve today as it's very wet and it's on the verge of fighting traction as it is.
    • I think this is still wrong. There is something crappy with wastegate priority (or the f**king absence of it) if you can't get below nearly double the base spring pressure. But if you're happy with what you've got, upload skid vids now.
    • So a further update for this one. Turbosmart were very gracious and took one look at the wastegate and said this is our original version, we will just replace the entire thing and send it back to you. So I fitted the new wastegate with its new revisions and took it around the block on spring pressure (9 psi spring). Appears the minimum it will do is about 16psi. Keep in mind this is only 2nd and 3rd gear pulls. I think the issue is fixed compared to what it was doing before however I'm happy to provide more logs if anyone thinks theres more to the story to uncover
    • Surely, if you have the indicator in hand and a pair of verniers, you can measure it up and draw your own cut template? I mean, it's got to pretty clear what has to pass through the hole, what has to sit on the outside face of the hole, and what has to be able to pass through and perhaps clip into place on the back side.
    • Man, I hope this one gets finished  i just randomly remembered it the other day and thought I’d check in.
