So yeah, first drive today. Car lags in first gear a lil til about 3500-4000rpm then absolutely launches, up til 8000. Lags is barely noticeable in 2nd and 3rd due to the engine being in its desired rev range already. The clutch is heavy under foot but VERY bitey, still trying to get used to it. Power-wise i think an aftermarket exhaust is going to beef it up a lot mor, as you can hear the amount of air its trying to push through tthe stock one. It sounds very... forced. The exhaust tends to pop occasionally while changing gears. Nice. I think it needs a new air filter too... the nismo one it has is fairly decent, but hasnt been maintained. Will be getting a K&N from work. Breathing mods should make a difference.

Car handles fantastically on its Nismo S-tune coils and shocks, and the brakes... well, theyre Brembos. Definitely do the job! It tends to break traction when shifting into second for a lil bit, even with the kumho 225's all round. The guage showing front torque goes right up to 50 anytime you are in first or second and hit boost pressure with the foot down.

I think it would benefit greatly from the addition of stiffer swaybars front and rear, having a lil bit of body roll through tight turns, though its definitely stiff enough at the moment to get the car into a controlled slide in second or first gear, til the atessa pulls the car straight.

Car gets a LOT of looks! Especially by young and old guys at the lights and petrol stations etc. I think the plates are easy to read and effective... The nismo clear indicators are a big change for the better over the orange ones nissan supply with it, and the $200 i spent on Phillips Crystal Vision H4s, H1's and parkers give the whole front end a uniform whit light through the low/high beams, foglights and parkers. In need of S2 taillights to finish that look.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Stoked to hear your thoughts.

No its not from Zele-international... whomever they are.

Yeah it is one of the nicest condition imports inside and out that i have ever come across - even underneath is immaculate. Im inclined to believe that the 65,000km are genuine. There is no wear and tear on the seats at al, the brake rotors arent worn any more than youd expect for the km, no indication of anything being pulled off the motor (ie marks on boltheads/screw etc) and the stock radio hasnt even been removed ever. Very honest car.

Cant wait for the next cruise! Hopefully i can KEEP the bloody thing - missus is hounding me to buy a house! I'll know within 6 weeks if im putting it straight on the market for an even $30k or keeping it. Women.

It cleaned up VERY nicely, Bobbeh :( Looking good! There will need to be a cruise including your car, even if you are selling it: it must bee seen amongst its peers!

There's always my Legnum for sale, if she makes you offload it :)

mmmmm..mmmmmmm

makes me wish i held out for a dark coloured stag now..

Man dark colours makes the stag look like sex.

Looks tippa.. engine looks like its in top condition on the outside..

just my opinion i'd be trying to keep the car if it's that good and enjoy it cause unless your prepared to take a bit less than 30k (try 25k) your probably not going to move it ( check out prices, car sales, drive.com' j- spec etc, the arse has fallen out of the market, look at all the stageas for sale ) not a real good time to sell, maybe a collectors car like yours might appreciate if kept in good nick, but if you really have to sell it and want a quick sale get your money back plus a couple of grand,

good luck and i hope you dont have to sell it looks real nice.

Thanks again for the positive feedback guys!!! i get my licence back in 6 weeks so will have to definitely organise a cruise for some time after that! will be good to take it for a drive without worrying about the boys in blue haha...

Im looking to do a dyno run at Northside 4x4 in a week or two, then install the cat back system, K&N filter and boost control set to 10 or 12 psi, followed by another dyno run. I figure 10-12 is a safe boost figure.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
