Attached are two pictures, I am trying to identify what the electronic gismos are that are attached to the right hand side of the tranny tunnel (ie above where driver's left knee would be) and above the steering column.

thanks in advance

Also if anyone knows what the screen is and the bit in the guys hand which I understand to connect to the screen, I beleive it is pioneer carrozzeria gear, GPS/TV etc, can this be made to work in Australia?

nav,TV are useless. I ripped that EXACT setup of of a S15 varietta 20 minutes ago.

The air pods look like M's Airpods, keep them as I was told they are rare now or discontinued.

Looks like you got a MP3 and DVD Player,

It seems you have a HKS Turbo Timer,

3 x APexi gauges with the gauge controller,

The TV will not work in AUS unless you get it converted to AUS Frequency as it is to display the GPS.

The gadget on you steering wheel on the bottom left, looks like it is to control you sound system (remote control). Could be cruse control but I doubt it.

Air Flow Metre look pretty standard,

Inlet Plenum is all flaked like that is because over the years of heat from the engine and in some cases the car has been driven hard and the paint flakes off again due to heat.

Ok thanks,

so the nav and the tv are useless? that sucks, getting it converted to AUS frequency will not make the GPS work though will it but I can still play dvds through it?

As for the inlet plenum flaking, this car is supposedly a genuine one owner 58,135 kilometre vehicle with log books and service records. So it should not be flaking from prolonged exposure to normal heat which means it is likely to be from hard driving generating more than normal heat. Shit I hope the motor is not shagged from being driven hard, that will suck ass if I need to rebuilt the bastard!

really. do you have hte firmware to do this? unit is jap based and the DVD side of it is locked to another region so its useless as well unless you wish to burn DVD to open region.

in regard to the plenum - last 260 RS I did had 90k on it and it looked the same. think about how much heat is under there..

Ok thanks,

correct. nope unless you wish to do as I already stated. its easier to rip the lot out and start again. the radio you can save. chuck a $30 band expander on it and use it. if you are in brisbane I keep these.

No I am in Perth WA. So to have the firmware reflashed (?) will that then make the GPS work?? surely that will be cheaper than throwing it all way and buying new stuff, otherwise I will just have it all removed and go without, not like I get lost anyway ahah but the tv would be cool! I can easily burn DVD's to open up the region so maybe just keep it for that. Do these things receive television also>?

just rip it out...

much easier. pioneer Oz wont touch it anyway. they did do TV and some of them supported a hardwired carkit as well.

its NOT useable leave it at that.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
