marlin - no fences to hold you back from the big drops up there punk!

kel - harsh, but promoting it as a hairdresser's car doesn't suggest any great aspirations so could be a good way to keep it! actually i'd love to paint it flat black, i reckon that would look awesome, handy for sponsors too... just whip out the chalk duster when you get a new one!

sav_man - not sure about up north, but from hobart myself and darren fogarty in the rx7, peter o'keefe seems pretty keen, an almost finished gtr down here with a guy new to tarmac rally, another new guy to tarmac rally that i went to school with in his yet to be finished l34 torana and a couple of others are talkin.

Sounds like alot of talk stu :P typical of our southern counterparts ;)

sorry Stu nothing personal- I can't help it that it's been the car of choice for ever hairdresser I've ever had :P

I'm liking that car as a chalkboard idea....

oh, well done to mark and sarah :D

You mean Russ? Mark was in the service park with me. Russ and sarah both did a great job. It was sarah's first go at navving, and she really did a great job. watching their in-car footage there was nothing left pace wise.

I must be having rally with-drawals finally.

I dreamt I was driving through a patato field last night! LOL

Oh me too! lol

Funny you say that, I had ice cream prior to bed last night and was driving through that field again, but in a 35! lol

sorry I don't think I will be able to treat the donut princess to the level you are accustomed to - r35s and 5 star accom. I hope you will consider a 20yo r32 and cabins to be "retro"

haha I don't buy it at all....maybe she is just being nice.

we ran in prod spec at targa, we'll turn the boost up for this and see how the old girl goes. will be interesting to see what the car can do too

I'm glad you had a good enough time to wanna come back up next year Ben. I'm afraid I let the SAU team down a bit with my little detour off the side of the hill. But in saying that we were having a pretty good go considering the absolute horrid rear end set up we had. But it's on the way to repair now so we'll be back for next year. I hope you can drag some others up here with you for a good fun weekend.

well looks like Ben has made targa change the rules, category 7 has moved to early modern. I notice the Porsche guys didn't care when a 944 won classic, but you can't have a Nissan wrecking a Porsche 1-10 finish.

but you would have to enter it as a std gtr as the n1 wasn't realesed till 1991(?) not that anyone runs the proper turbos anyway.

if the rules are being changed, the 400r should be put into s1 mod level.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
