there wouldnt be many cars in targa that will do 5 days racing on a $800 engine.

More super GTS-t i say. and a national gtst championship.

and sadly we are loosing one of our gtst to the mainland.

but my daily with now a 3x targa engine is back up and running finaly.

Quite amazing little engine is the much derided rb20 huh, so tough.

A gtst championship would be awesome, Stu, I think it needs to be done. It would create some interest for sure :)

And bring more younger competitors in, which is what you guys want.

there is another white one down here which is a really good car, it's on my05. Might be worth a call to get the price down

nice car but the black one for $14K was an ok price, this one for $26K is a bit harsh. the black one looked like a decent buy I think. like you said it would make a good base.

I had a firm buyer for mine post my last Tugga @ $26.5k..... but I pulled out of the deal coz I had become attached to it.

Yes, I should have sold it. lol

The buyer went on to build his own, whch owes well north of $30k now.

yeah i've no doubt on the cost to build a GTST like that. but it's just what the market will bear. I mean no way are any of us going to get back $100K spent on a big GTR, lucky to get $30K-$40K for one let alone $26K for a GTST with 185kw, a cage and some chinese 17inch wheels (simplification I know).

WHAT?!?!?! I thought we were supposed to get back every dollar!? Fark this for a joke, I'm OUT!

I really don't understand the fascination?

And what is Class 1? "Targa Tasmania Shannon Legends"

Check the list of entries for it (7 minutes behind a Shaaaguar XJS.....);

Nothing to do with the category more the potential this car could have (if it wasn't so overpriced).

Nobody even took a second look at the legends it was a bit of a non-event... It just brough a few has beens back for a trundle.

Maybe if Boris and George had have brought the VW it would have been interesting.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
