Magic I just chased up some more info then, was at the workshop but missed Jeff and the boys were flat out with peoples cars getting ready for Auto Salon. Dont worry about the suggestion of Nungen as you need a price duties paid sitting in your garage not FOB price as to vague, we should support local so stories like J-Shop (it is in general just J-Shop are the latest) don't happen to often.

I am trying mate, no one is able to source them for me though. Imports 101 are the only people so far, so it's looking like the way to go.

Jeff just emailed me 5mins ago, he said he can't source them either.

Yeah I met Mike on the weekend, we had a chat. I'll think it over I've had a few offers now. Mike, your partner def didn't end up emailing me a price though, just checked my mail then. Nengun have also got back to me with a good ETA on them, so I'm a bit indecisive atm.

Just FYI for those who were getting me quotes from their business. I've got full cash now, so today is last day for people who said they could get them for me to get me a price on them. Or else I'm going gambling with my money with Nengun tonight.

Just heard back from WEDS and in the size and offset I'm after they have 0 left in stock. The next batch will be completed as of early October!

Not sure what I'll do now. Kinda ruins my chances of gettin into Motorvation too. So devo. :D Might still put my name down for the back-order.

Perfect Run stock them and they have the quickest delivery time out of any company ive ordered from i always get parts within a week or 2

I have called them and they dont stock them man.

If no one has them in store at the moment, the next international batch gets made by early october from Weds Japan, so no matter where you go it's the same waiting list on the SA-70s.

Thanks anyway Michael, I ordered the 18 inchers with 9" width all round and +32 offset. :O

Hey Mate,

Tech9 get them, talk to Scotty, I know he can get them cos he offered them to me for my gtr and showed me the pics the supplier sent him. And im pretty sure they will be coming from over east so eta should be f all. Their number is 93143889.

Regards,

Steve

Why is everyone recommending me places AFTER I've already ordered them lol.

I know Scott. He is yet to get me a price. But your right, Tech9 resell for Weds official Australian Reseller over in NSW, Stamford. who I also spoke with directly, who are also yyet to hear back from Weds with a price and timeframe. None of these places usually stock Weds in store, they aren't very common so it's usually back order. Besides that one at jap perf parts that someone on here mentioned they had. Turns out it was sold a while ago, and it was in bronze.

I've found that getting someone in Japan to walk into Weds store personally and order it is by far more easier, which I have done.

But cheers for all the help and tips along the way guys. I'll post up pics of course when I get them in October.

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
