Having the padles move with the wheel are a must. glad my car came with them like that.

Although in tight corners when you would turn the wheel more than you can twist without releasing your hand and re-grabing them makes it hard.

This wouldn't be so much of a concern on a track or rally. moreso for tight street stuff.

dunc , nope i have no rally experience so big learning curve, ben will have to keep me in check

i have done about 15 years as a mechanic for an ARC team but not as driver.

no we dont have tyres sorted, we will be running on the tyres i used at superlap! they are half f#@ked! i also have a spare set of the bridgestones runflats if needed.

we will definately struggle for tyres but will still be a good learning curve and shake down for next year.

If you don't mind me saying that is a funny attitude, for what is involved, tyres are #1 as if you need me to tell you that.

I have to say since semi's aren't readily available in 20's I'm suprised people haven't given the Pirelli P Zero's a shot on the GT-R's. I was super impressed with them on the R8's we ran at Phillip Island and the lap times we were doing showed they were performing pretty sweetly too. They did have a drop off in perfmormance once they got really hot but it wasn't too bad.

But I don't know how they compare to the dunlops as I haven't had the chance to have a play on them. But the Pirellis may be worth a look at if you are looking for rubber.

still got the rear centre speakers in too!

car has to remain original weight for the rallies we are doing, mind you the cupholder weighs about 500 grams but covers the the sensors and protects them

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
