Nice stuff, can't wait to see it in the flesh, and this might just re-capture my bosses in interest.

I think he's starting to give up, he test drove an Evo X the other day - must...fight...the dark...side!

Our R35GTR is a great car, any truly interested enthusiasts can come down the workshop for a view next week ;)

Thanks martin, been meaning to drop past for a chat (the 33 needs a tune and yours was the best i've had) and this is a great excuse.

Very nice. So this car is currently in a workshop Adelaide? Any chance for a view? Maybe swing by this weekend at some time that suits the owner. Would love to look at it in the flesh. Cheers.

nice

should get 32, 33, 34, 35 and stagea along side ;)

What are they going to actually use the car for, or is it simply a "we got the first one, in your face suckers" type exercise.

Serious question, because no ones really mentioned the 35 in drag yet, and we know what the Willall boys like to do :O

ok, I'm gonna upset a few people here, but I'm actually well and truly over the R35 already and I haven't even seen it in the flesh yet. :O

I'm sure if I drove one I'd feel different, but to me, it looks like an overweight 300ZX and the more I look at it, the tougher the R34's look.......and it's not even a Skyline anymore!

I love the instrumentation and the technology that's gone into it though.

Flame away.........I've got broad shoulders! ;)

PS: 'Blow you off' style responses like the one below to one of our regulars on here, doesn't help the promotion of the product or their business!

You're on. Any particular date or time? Would be nice if u could get a white 33gtr and 34 gtr and take a pic in a row. mines got a nismo front bar minus the front spoiler lip but is otherwise stock (albeit in need of some detailing).... any other white gtr (33, 34's) out there keen to go down? Charmaine are u free to take pix? hehe

-D

Thats pretty cool Dohmar but Im not going to rearrange cars for your mates to come down for a photo shoot and take an hour out of my day to do it. I have work to do.....Know what I mean?

^i dont think it was a "blow you off" responce, he made a valid point.....and if i just spent 150k on a car i would want to focus on work to try and re-coup some of that money back aswell, not play around with cars in a carpark....all of which they have raced before :O

madaz, good luck to kier etc but haltech already have a development gtr that they have been playing with, finding it quite hard to get past the supreme computer onboard these cars, they have managed to defeat the 180km speed limiter and increase the boost, gettin the gtr down the qtr half a second quicker. (its all in the latest MOTOR if you want a good read ;) )

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
