I drove a modified R33 for 18 months on my P's and only ever got randomly pulled over once and even then they didn't defect the car or query my right to drive the vehicle. Since my P's though I have been pulled over about 8 times (in the last year or so) and only finally got defected on Tuesday night after a random pull over. It seems to all depend on:

- How low your car is

- How loud your car is

- Bodykits attract attention

- Doing dumb shit attracts attention

- Driving in certain areas attracts attention

However if you get a highway patrol officer who is really after you, I have just discovered first hand your gonna get punished

highway patrol = (n)

very much agree with swink

i used to get pulled up a lot more when i drove in highly patrolled areas.. now im ussually just driving from cafe` to cafe` and its not so bad anymore. still get pulled over and still pack myself everytime i see a cop car. but unless your doing something to "stand out" cops have got better things to do..

i find the safest places are actually near cop stations.. cause the cops are either eager to get back or just jumped in the cars and still getting organised.

i was driving a r33 gts for a while n then did the turbo conversion for more power... and have been driving it on my green p's for around 5 months... iv been pulled over 3 times... twice in one night and was told to open the hood... didn't say anything about the power to weight just defected me for cooler and pod filter.. all 3 times that i got defected was at nyt tym on friday/ saturday nyts on princess hwy...

my car is pretty stock looking and doesnt attract that much attention and i dnt go out doing stupid things... bt that nyt when i got pulled over twice there was a police blitz on princess hwy

fingers crossed i dnt get diked for power to weight...

most cops just knw that you cant have pod filter and intercooler but id stay away from highway patrols..

my first pull over and defect was actually outside a cop station... haha

pod filters are illegal? :)

your allowed to drive any car on your Lz, but on ur Pz it all stops, i was driving my 33 gts-t for 8 months on my Pz, didnt get pulled over once, im fully liscenced now, in my oppinion, if your car dosent look like a race car and you havnt done to much to it, you act sencibaly, you will be fine, now that i remember it, i did get brethoed and they just looked to see if i was wearing Pz, which i wasnt and they just said cya later.

Act sencibly, and be mature

two weeks ago i brought a skyline r32 gt-r and i couldn't wait till i could drive it, i heard it was just imported and everything seem to be in good nick!!! well i confirmed to the seller which he was selling the car for a good mate in japan to buy the skyline for $17,500 which he wanted the car for $18,500. so we did all the paper work and went to vic roads and got a permanent so i could drive the car at bayswater where the car was to delahey which is where my relatives house was. i was stunned :P of the performance what a twin turbo could really produce....... during the time was i driving towards the city i came across at least 6 cops that drove right pasted me, at the time i wasn't aware of the penalties of driving a twin turbo until one of my family member told me after when i was at home that it was not legal for me to drive a gt-r, of cos all i was thinking about was the acceleration and the speed of the r32...... well during the two days i floored that skyline around my area where theres hardly any cops around and dicided to give the car back because there was no point keeping the car if i cant drive it till im off my green p's(19yold) which is in another two more years -.-

i was just wondering when is it legal to drive a skyline r32 gtr? 21 or 25?

Full license drivers do not have any high power car restrictions.

When you get your full license, this is when the gtr becomes legal to drive.

So that would be when your 21 im assuming.

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
