Hi all,

I need to find a good smah repair with a solid reputation to fix my Stagea. Does anyone have any recommendations as I need to organise my car to be towed?

Please let me know your experience with the trader you recommend and why they were good.

Thanks.

Tee

I haven't had any work done yet but I'm taking my GTR to Capital Collision in a month or so.

Quite a few of the boys on Canberra Cruises use them and I thought that the guy who I met was really helpful and professional when I went out there.

Or if you can convince them to do it then Tony Farrugia is awesome. He fixed our last Audi and he's about to fix the new one that some toolbeater dropped a spanner on. But if you go there be prepared to wait!

Hope that helps!

Farrugia dont generally touch Japanese imports (read: Skylines, Silvias, Supras etc) so I assume the Stagea would be in the same boat.

Dave Smash Repairs in Queanbeyan do fantastic work, but once again they are one of the most busy panel beaters in the region so you will need to wait.

I figured as much with Farrugia - they just told me they prefer working on "new cars" when I spoke to them.

The dude at Capital Collision did mention he's got a pretty long wait list at the moment, he said he'd squeeze me in cause the engine is going to be out already. I think anywhere that's any good is probably going to come with a wait.

If its not an insurance job and you want to save money, try Adam Hickey on 0418 630 813 - have a look at some of his work, he's pretty good.

PS I won Shannons Insurance "Car of the Show" at last weekends Bulahdelah Speed Weekends "Show and Shine" day with my racecar - and that has Adams paintwork on it. But like I said, look at his work and decide for yourself, he'll have something to show you.

[i gave Capital Suspension a call and he was incredibly helpful. They have my business now. Just need to wait for the results.

Big thanks to Kat and the rest for your input.

Much Appreciated!

hmmm might give him a call about my front bar,

cheers m

got any pics of the damage?

D.

I'll try to get some this weekend. The car is in Jindabyne.

The rear passenger side wheel is folded in though. I had a chat to the guy at Capital Crash repairs, and he said based on that alone, it's likely it might be a write off. Will see when the car gets towed to the repairer.

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
