I didn't like it. In fact, I disliked it so much I changed the channel. The skinny small guy has an annoying voice and to me its just a big immitation.

Edit: Unlike the british version, these guys TRY to be funny, and it just wasn't working. The part when they're sitting down talking about the stretch hummer with dubs. "i'll pop a cap in yo ass".

One word "Cringeworthy"

I still reserve judgement until i have seen at least 1/2 a season..... The first three seasons of Top gear were crap IMHO

It seemed to be a bit too much of a rip off, its also a shame that next week will be bogan v bogaaan (Holden Vs Ford)...

Still give it a chance i say......................

Yeah it's like the Brit version, But really it is the same show but Australian... i thought it was alright, but like mentioned they need time to find their own way... at the moment the producers would have handed them a rough script and said read this...

not watching it again. total shit.

and didnt anyone notice how it wasnt a stock gtr. it was the haltech tuned gtr......hmmm fair or unfair advantage much

Yup. I'm not going to watch it again for another 2 years, if it doesn't flop by then they might find their niche and make it work. Otherwise I've got better things to do! (like watch the real Top Gear)

That blew

GT-R was the only highlight of the episode. The hosts are boring, and lame, and what was with opening the first show with a soft-roader comparo? Where's the sideways supercar action?

Oh look! a new Lamborghini... that we won't drive. That was crap Ray.

We already have a car show for old people... it's called The Car Show (creative name right there :nyaanyaa:) on CH9, and it sux just as bad.

Better come up with some good drives next week...

not watching it again. total shit.

yer i no ay

preaty unfair lol

beautiful skyline tho

but it will never be as good as the UK version

thats the first thing i thought of....all a bunch of puppets mimic-ing the original, even in the way they speak. Dicko look a like, choppa looka like but super punce, and that other skinny weasle, he looked so random. absolutely no aussie flair at all. thats what you get when you put out a nation wide call for real enthusiaists but opt for so called intelect. half a bogan would make the show a tad more entertaining.

I thought the main host lets call him [clarkson impersonator] was pretty ordinary. the other two call them [Hammond and May[ were not too bad. I really want to like this show so im going to give it a go over the next few weeks and see if the characters grow on me... fingers crossed!!!

and by the way is it just me or is that track the most boring track ever!?!?!?!

Hated it.

Hosts dont fit, especially not when they are trying to emulate the original show.

The guy who did the shark stuff just irritates me.

That track is the most baron and and pointless piece of tarmac in australia, is it an old go kart track!?

I sincerly doubt that it will go past the 8 episode contract. But then again, they voted bush in again so who knows these days

I would make a judgment on the track, but I HARDLY SAW IT

The footage of the cars doing their hot lap on the track was appauling. All you saw was the inside of the car + stig, then car on a straight, then car + stig again, then straight again. I couldnt really make out what the track looked like.

Also, there were a couple scenes of the Porsche where they blurred in and out on the bumper of the car, did anyone's eyes get all funny? who needs to blur in and out of a bumper 6 times straight! haha

Other than not bad, always improvements to come.

Agree with points about the Lambo + "cap in yo ass" (cringe worthy indeed)

I'm still going to watch it though haha i still have faith in it

and what do 50 million retarded Americans re-electing a fellow retard president out of sympathy have to do with Australian produced television? :D

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
