lol, thanks guys. ;) just quietly I turn 28 today and feel every bit the old cnt that I am. :D

this birthday is on track to be amongst the most memorable for all the wrong reasons. I was woken up at 5:30am by some arse clowns outside my apartment, got a glass of water went back to bed not feeling so good. then at 8am I get a call from my dad (expecting happy birthday son). it's to tell me a car down the road from his house was torched at 5:30am and his daihatsu was stolen. no big deal you think, $1000 daihatsu, who cares? well my nismo pro 2 way LSD, with GTS4 4.375:1 diff gears all nicely set-up in a 32 GTR housing was in the boot. :D I'm pretty fcked now as I've already fitted the front GTS4 gears into my engine so car is not going anywhere now with rear GTR gears and front GTS4 gears (well except in RWD). I have no doubt the car will be torched and the theives never caught. Car thieves in NSW have more chance of getting struck by lightening than they do of being charged and convicted in NSW. Police will be on you like glue should you speed, or own a loud car, or commit a heinous crime like smoking a joint but car thieves, burglars and pricks who assault old people can live worry free on the dole in their comfy government housing getting drugged up on our tax sponsored welfare. Great system we have here.

Anyway, enough of my moaning. :D Thanks for the kind wishes guys, it cheers the salty old baron up. :)

weekend plans included getting drunk tonight and staying that way till monday night. :)

Happy birthday Richard!

you share the same birthday as one of my inlaws!! what a way to remember now haha!

And sorry about the news on the diff, i often do dumb shit like leave evpensive parts in my cars too, i should stop!!

Is the charade you're talking about the little white one?

hey mate, nah have never had or been in a white charade. it is a red applause. :D UFQ 739 I think.

car doesn't matter. it's not worth anything. my dad only kept it as it was not worth any money and I asked him to keep it for me to use for parts etc. carried gearboxes, engines, diffs, wheels etc. it was great for that stuff. I just want my diff back. it's going to be a bitch to replace. :)

well all is well. My dad knowing full well the police would not exactly be issuing an APB to find his car took it upon himself to drive around between chatswood and brookvale and eventually came across the car in chatswood just 3 blocks from the police station. he figured that since they torched the last car that was what would be in store for ours and it would fk the diff. he knew they wouldn't do it during the day but would probably do it tonight, so the best chance of getting it back would be today. anyway he called the cops and it turns out they have arrested the litttle butt monkey as he robbed a few houses and was caught trying it again. lucky my dad found the car as the bloke had left half a can of petrol in there reading for tonights torching... forensics is checking the car for prints, skin and dna right now. so it looks like he may finally feel some justice afterall. bit rough that the police couldn't trip over a car that was literall 1 single right hand turn away from where they park their cars.... about 150 meters away.

anyway, it put a smile on my face. :P

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
