Duncan
love that shed, about the same size as I am going to build. which brings the question - now its up do you think it's big enough? Morten Kiil Finsaas
how da funk did it get up there?crane? Forklift is a must in large garages... As you can see, we also have a Triumph TR7 on the "shelf" on the opposite side of the garage as you can see in one of the pictures... JAS-25T
I did notice that. you have a real "selection" of cars! Duncan, if 12x7.5m doesnt fill your back yard, it's not big enough. BezerkR32
Know i know why you are asking about those lights. Let me know if your interested mate, there are 5 of the big ones and a heap of twin fluros. i never needed them. love that shed, about the same size as I am going to build. which brings the question - now its up do you think it's big enough? Noddy
love that shed, about the same size as I am going to build. which brings the question - now its up do you think it's big enough? 7.5 for sure, 6m is tight/short. The shed at our last house was 6m and was always a struggle. This time with the extra 1.5m the differance is huge, nice big bench and heaps of room all round the racecar. Ther is a heap of gear in there now. There is a 39 Chev and a sill80 packed tight in the corner where there are no rollerdoors and my trimming bench finishes off that half. The skyline is at the other end and an EH that is getting retrimmed in the middle bay. witt have to tacke a pic if i remember tonight. benm
The bigger the shed the bigger the mess, thats my theory anyway Then again my neighbour has 2 double garages (1 either side of his house) for his 3 cars but then decided that wasn't enough room so built another double garage in his backyard as his dedicated workshop for his 67 Camaro. I on the other hand have a completely car-less double garage just waiting for my new project to arrive Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/242796-show-us-your-race-car-workshop/page/2/#findComment-4245605 Share on other sites
r33_racer
The car is worked on and stored here in the old mans back shed. But whenever various bespoke parts and ideas need to be fabricated/machined/designed we go here......the other workshop! Couple of welders, CNC's and manual mill/lathes, punch n shears, 60T brake press, pipe bender/roller. Duncan
love what you guys are doing in that shed, your car is a monster. but it cracks me up that no matter how big the shed is some stuff still has to live outside (engine hoist, parts washer, rear end and whatever is under the tarps lol). great spot for the spare boot too I'm hoping fabrication is your business, because there is an amazing amount of expensive machinery in the other shed. I can't get over how much fab work goes into a race car, even a touring car. We spent all day today working on the rear subframe - cutting, welding, measuring, checking etc etc it takes sooooo much time. Beer Baron
in the toilets dude lol. funny you should say that. about a year ago or so I went into a car audio installer/auto worshop. I had to use the can and when I went in there above the toilet was a huge stack of vintage 70s and 80s hard core (and I mean hard core) porno! haha. cracked me up. needless to say I didn't come out for about 40 mins afterwhich my mate came looking to see if I had fallen in.
