Not sure how true this is but they say that the police are striking tonight, no patrols and no police stations open after 6pm. Police will only attend life threatening incidents.

Anyone up for a gentle drive around Perth tonight?! :D hehehe...

Ok its sorta true. The police have been involved in Union talks or whatever so if you get caught doing MINOR things (ie 15kms over, not stopping fully at a stop sign etc), you WILL be let off (providing the cop isnt a prick).

If you hit 200kms on the freeway and get caught they WILL nail you etc.

This has been happening over the last couple of weeks. They just pull you over and give you a warning etc. The've also been sitting in FRONT of multinova's on marmion ave, to stop people getting caught (the multinova guys arent involved with the pay disputes, so thats why thats happening etc) :D

yeah they also said they wont attend burglaries, car thefts, minor assaults, only life threatening emergencies, and home invasions if the intruder is still in the house. they said they will attend high speed chases, but said there will be no patrols on the street.

*unscrews number plates* :D

How's anyone going to tell the difference - they dont attend any of those incidents when they arent on strike?

Jash

yes lets take advantage of this situation :P

Would you take advantage of nurses on strike be running rampage through the hospitals?

I'd like to see you guys laughing if your grandma was in a home invasion and the cops didn't show cause they were on strike.

Sneeze,

Hence the laughter - The feelth hardly ever attend anything other than a murder these days - the amusement comes from the fact they were saying they werent going to attend anything other than life threatening situations - they dont as it is.

Jash

Sneeza,

Thats the problem, there isn't enough cops that attend things like home invasions. They don't do enough to see that sort of thing through either.

It's low prioirty compared to Hoons. If you rate prioirity by $$ spent and man power(time).

I have total respect for nurse's too. Thats a really hard job that takes a special person to do.

Think you take it all to seriously dude, Relax :) it was just a laugh.

I just want to know what that Teddy is doing in her avatar.

But yeah you look at all the bullshit ad campaigns we have to sit through to save what maybe 50 lives a year when the filth reckon they havent got the resources to do anything about 99% of crimes committed. Except if you're speeding...

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
