From my experience with him, he seems like a fairly decent guy just doing his job.

And he explained why the bc and wheel studs were illegal. Then gave me an opportunity to fix it up. Can't ask for more than that I guess?

saturday nite... drive my pos even tho i knew i shouldnt have

pulled up in a servo on the phone. stopped at the entrance. car pulls up behind me and waits. i look a bit closer its a cop car...

anyways, i take off to go park next to an ultimate pump (2x 90deg turns) and hear my awesome diff doing its thing chirping its tits off on the smooth surface haha.

they pull up next to me. gimme a death stare, i jump out, "how can i help you officer?" get a reply "Regency for you mate" i look confised... "whys that?" :P he asks me for my license, then tells me "just go home, dont be an idiot" and leaves.

so here i am left standing with a roll cage, locked diff, slammed, wheels, straight through twin pipe, in primer with rivets in the rear quarter and zipties holding the thing together.

not a bad nite lol.

sounds to me like some of us are getting a little bit of a break, they're not cracking down as hard on skylines it seems?

it probably helps when the cop see's that you're not an idiot.

I don't think it is that different from a couple of years ago.

I reckon that is the main thing.

If you are a dick, and stand-offish, and argue, then you won't get any chances.

That's not to say you can't ask questions, but be civil about it.

If they see you are a decent person they usually give you one chance.

My experience with cops in general actually. If you know you've done something wrong, don't argue. And even if you haven't, don't be a dickhead

i got pulled over 3 times on a friday night within 2 hours and neither time they asked me about my car

was polite and just chatted to em

meanwhile just sittin there tuckin rim with straight pipes that hang about a foot out the back

Hey guys i'm getting a Wide body kit for my R32 carbon fiber with a carbon fiber bonnet,

I'v hidden my boost gauge in the dash u literally need to pull whole dash out to get to it, Was wanting to know how much shit i would get into if i got pulled over,

depends on the carbon fiber. if its dual layer and kevlar backed then it is legal. you still need to get an engineer to have a look at it and note down any changes in your guard eyebrow height (im assuming you got widebody guards) and change them accordingly before regency will approve it.

if its just kinezi carbon fibre then no it wont ever be legal as its a major safety risk should you hit a pedestrian or something as cf without any backing just shatters in to shards and causes an unnecessary safety risk.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
