you dont neceserally need forgies. But if you have the cash then put in either GTR rods or Eagle H-Beam rods with CP forgies.

acl bearings, oil pump and water pump, good head gasket. For a healthy engine that wont pack it in after u hit the 300 mark. Make sure you have a good fuel system too. Drop in Nismo or any japanese injectors over 500cc, 500hp at a minimum fuel pump.

a good ECU is a must, if you can get your hands on a Power FC then get it, if not a Greddy Emanage will do if you can find someone to tune it. If you go a pfc then get a Z32 air flow meter.

Turbo you can use a 30/40 .82 or a 35/40 .82 with a Tial 44mm gate, you can use a standard exhaust manifold with an adaptor plate, or an aftermarket lowmount or high mount. 3" at a minimum exhaust all the way.

You dont really need an aftermarket intake manifold, but a Greddy Plenum is excelent if you want to make things neater.

Find yourself an R33 GTR intercooler if you can or a JJR cooler will do. Get good quality piping made up.

With that you will easily see 300kw.

But then you will need a twin plate clutch (ORC 709D) is good and if you are gona drive it hard, you might want to look into a KAAZ 1.5 or a 2way diff.

Firstly you will need about 10-12k, that will get you your engine parts and supporting mods.

Then another 4k for R&R of engine, machining and assembly.

Or you could just whack on a GT35R (with supporting mods) and have some fun in it while saving for your engine rebuild.

there really isnt any point making a limit with how much you are going to spend, because you will never stick to it. By the time you know it 12 grand wont be enough. just make a list and buy buy buy

haha i finished off my engine and made 295kw.. then sold off the 3540 and baught something smaller, i have an easy 5grand left to spend on engine then i haveto do panel work then a new clutch then a rollcage etc etc so on and so forth.. never ends..

if i hadto start agen, i would do everything at once, not in stages. Because it ends up costing more and taking longer.

Keep the internals stock, push the power out and see how long it lasts. If it breaks then decide whether to build it or what direction you want to go with the car. It might last 3 years before it lets go and by then you might have enough money to buy a OS GIKEN engine for all you know.

^^ ain't that the truth.

Also, someone on here made 314rwkw with a GT3076R and Water/Meth injection on stock internals. Cheaper way to 300rwkw IMO, and im looking into buying one of these kits from AEM.

Plenty of threads over the years on this... here is a handful... all i searched with was 300rwkw, nice and easy.

Please take the time to read all these threads, and peoples pasts comments (which probably wont be any different this time either).

Once you've read them all, then start another thread with the specific questions that are not answered in the below (if you have any questions left, some of these threads go into immense detail)

The Dyno thread for one is a good place to start for parts vs results

Then the "300rwkw" threads...

    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
    • Basically, if there is a part# on the nissan catalogue, it is a genuine part. There is a thing called "new old stock" which is stuff made years ago but never sold (or landfilled), but it is super hit and miss what you can buy. Other than some expensive Nismo stuff there is nothing new being made that suits these cars. The only time to be a little careful is (mostly in the US I think, but maybe Japan too), Nissan started rebranding some cheap crap maintenance parts like oil filters as "Pitworks"; stay away from them, if you are buying cheap just buy whatever the local car parts shop carries The three part numbers have an explanation on Amayama: 0V005 is auto, base style 0V015 is manual 0V505 is auto, hectic momo branded ones, maximum F&F points there!
